Took the liberty of starting a new thread. Hope the title suits!

Graeme and Oti became like a brother and sister, anyone who watched their insta could see that. They just adored each other without there ever being any strictly curse rumours.

ButtMuncher · 25/11/2018 21:23

Thanks @PawneeParksDept for new Fred! Lovely parting words for Graeme and Oti. Will definitely miss them both 😭

Lottapianos · 25/11/2018 21:25

I'm Team Faye too, although Ashley is a fabulous dancer and I would have no issue with her winning. Stacey has been pretty good but I LOVE Kevin so would be ok with them winning. Joe seems lovely and has done much better than expected but NO to winning. He has been insanely overmarked

GrouchyKiwi · 25/11/2018 21:26

Lovely thread title, Pawnee.

Waltzing in...and tango'ing off again...Glitterball

UrsulaPandress · 25/11/2018 21:29

Please not Joe.

Clawdy · 25/11/2018 21:30

That was a strange night! So glad for Charles, so sad for Swanny, and yes, the judges were pointlessly curt and nasty, especially the increasingly annoying Bruno. They were so obviously furious at the public vote, and wanted to show it. Big mistake.

MozzieMagnet · 25/11/2018 21:31

Their last dance was a mess because Macy Gray's I Try is a slower number and Oti was trying to incorporate charleston (?) in it then flossing at the end. When it needed waltzy-AS lift.

I would so practise my leaving dance - I have two -
Getting away with it (all messed up) - James or
One last time - Ariana Grande.

It's what - 20 seconds - I would have a little routine going! Grin

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 25/11/2018 21:40

I wonder where Faye is in the public vote. I reckon Joe is top every week, and Stacey is second, Lauren must have been at least third this week to be out of the dance off, possibly higher than Stacey. Ashley must have been last and Graeme was either second or third last.

Having two people in second position is probably what saved Lauren, she was a point higher than she should be been for last place on the leaderboard. If she got 5 from the public vote then she had 7 overall (instead of 6), Ashley got 1 from the public vote, also 7 overall but the public vote is given preference so Lauren went through safely.

From next week they are doing two dances so there is less likelihood of two or more couples with the same score. Lauren will almost definitely be bottom of the leaderboard again, so scoring 1, and a third place public vote won't save her from the dance off in that case.

KitchenDancefloor · 25/11/2018 21:43

Checking in. Telly on the blink and iplayer not much better, so only just caught up.

Interesting to see the views on here echoed those of the kitchen household. The only thing not picked up on and scrutinised over; was Stacey's dance longer than usual? They seemed to cram so much in.

OublietteBravo · 25/11/2018 21:54

I don’t think they are doing two dances next week. It would be too complicated on a theme week, what with the costumes/makeup. They do 2 dances in the semis though.

pinkteddy · 25/11/2018 21:54

Lauren is obviously really popular with the public. At least 3rd in the public vote as others have said. Bruno was really unprofessional in his dance off judgement. Just no need.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 25/11/2018 21:58

I felt so bad for Swanney at Craig's comment of it being a no brainer, his face was just so resigned, and Bruno was just downright nasty.

Both Graham and Oti's speeches seemed so genuine, I had no idea who he was before but I will miss him, but mostly miss Oti and her lovely distraction short clad behind!

Lauren is out her depth now, and she's a little bland, but seems really sweet, her and AJ we're on the last leg a few weeks ago and it wasn't great, they just seemed to not be very present. But they aren't stand ups so who can blame them!

OublietteBravo · 25/11/2018 21:59

Presumably the public vote changes every week - in that it is split between fewer contestants. So the question for next week is how the votes that went to Graeme/Oti will be redistributed (assuming the people who voted for them keep voting).

Redcrayons · 25/11/2018 22:14
Glitterball
Belindabauer · 25/11/2018 22:17

I think Joe gets the most public votes so he won't be in the dance off.
Graeme's votes will not be enough to effect this.
Unless Joe is in a dance off with someone who the judges think is better, and let's face it they favour him and overmark him, then he will stay in.
If his fans keep voting for him as they have been doing then he will get far more votes than anyone else.
The winner is decided on public vote alone.

CurbsideProphet · 25/11/2018 22:21

Do Strictly ever release voting figures? I can't remember from previous years. It would be interesting to know who the public is voting for.

What did Bruno say? I didn't watch the whole result show. He's just a caricature of himself now, unfortunately.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 25/11/2018 22:24

It’s Ashley’s faux modesty that grates on me. Don’t want her to win. Faye isn’t like that.

I don’t want Joe to win.

Other than Ashley & Joe don’t mind who wins.

AJ, Lauren, Karen & Charles faces - sweet!

kazzaD66 · 25/11/2018 22:24

I can't believe AJ and Lauren have avoided the DO again. Shame that Graeme and Oti have gone, they've always been one of my favourites - both great personalities (esp against the dull, bland AJ and Lauren) and they always seemed to get on and have fun. Lovely leaving speeches from both of them, which seemed genuine, and the rest of the group seemed sad to see him go aswell.

Agree, Craig and esp Bruno were downright rude and insulting - just no need for it.
Hope that Ashley doesn't get a slue of sympathy votes next week in response to her being in the DO!

Crystalblue13 · 25/11/2018 22:26

Aww I loved Graeme and Oti and what a lovely speech he made! I want Faye to win and I also love Charles

CassandraCross · 25/11/2018 22:32

No, Strictly have never released public voting figures Curbside. When it gets down to the last 6 or 7 you can get a feel for who the public are backing, in the early stages of the competition it is difficult due to the spread of votes and the public loading the vote for the 'underdog' at the bottom of the leader board after the Judges have scored. This series has been unusual because the ones at the bottom of the leader board, with the exception of Lauren, don't appear to have got the 'bottom bounce' which usually imperils those who are mid-table.

FleeBee · 25/11/2018 22:36

What did Bruno say? I missed it. I quite liked the Graeme / Oti partnership they seemed to have a lot of fun

MozzieMagnet · 25/11/2018 22:39

Bruno's comments summed up by Monkseal on twitter:

DUH, SHE'S MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN YOU ON EVERY LEVEL YOU PATHETIC MAGGOT YOU SHOULD BE GLAD TO LICK THE HEELS OF HER BEAUTIFUL HEELS, DUHHHHHHHHHH NO BRAINER DUHHHHHHHHHHHH" - really rallying those votes for Ashley there guys

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 25/11/2018 22:39

Oti to Graeme

“You are the spirit of strictly”

Well said 👏

MozzieMagnet · 25/11/2018 22:41

It wasn't far off that actually! Along the lines of who we kidding, Ashley was obviously better in all ways Grin
