wow, I hope the powers that be are reading this - I havent been so upset at anything fictional ever. Never ever. I wasnt a massive fan of Sonya either, but she's pulled it out the bag with this. And that episode was beautifully filmed too.

The knowing look on her face when she knew she was saying goodbye to Ramsay Street... It fills me with absolute terror thinking about being in that situation - and knowing you're about to leave your kids behind is just inthinkable.

Toadie, when she told him she had days left - wow. They just acted it out the park.

Dumdedumdedum · 06/03/2019 06:32

They just acted out the park.
Didn't they just? I'm another non-fan of Sonya but Eve Morey's acting was remarkable and I would definitely prefer Sonya to have lived rather than have the dubious pleasure of characters such as the Dipi family, Finn, and Bea still around Angry

SleepingStandingUp · 06/03/2019 07:17

Forget Agnu and Sonya and Toadoe, can we all think about the real victim in all this.

Poor Bea.

No idea why she'd care or if she's ever spoken to Sonya but it must be about her some how. Maybe they'll cancel her gig for the funeral or she'll get sacked from fixing one car a week and Susan won't comfort her enough or something

Dum possibly a small part of that interview on the Neighbours Facebook page. Eve gets very upset.

MiddleClassProblem · 06/03/2019 07:42

Ok these explainations are better than the sand mound... mow a big sandcastle in my head

They did do such a beautiful job.

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 08:05

Dum and Cherry, and everyone else, here's the link to the wee short video -

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 08:09

Some characters are awful, but it's mainly to do with poor storylines for them. eg Gary and Amy both do my head in, but I don't mind them being there and being part of it all.
But Bea! OMG she's got awful storylines, but her acting is just awful.

SHE emphasizes and pauses AT...such unnatural...points.

It is baffling.

Dumdedumdedum · 06/03/2019 08:11

Cherrypie32 (is that a Twin Peaks reference?) - do you know which particular FB page, please, I've tried searching but there are so many? Grin

Dumdedumdedum · 06/03/2019 08:16

Sorry, SpanishFly, cross-posted with you, thank you very much for that link. Crying again now Sad

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 06/03/2019 08:23

If bloody Bea sings at the memorial for Sonya I will have to buy a ticket to Oz and dig an extra 2 miles down into the earth to make sure she never gets out of that sodding well.

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 08:25

OMG she will sing, won't she????? Nooo. That will completely ruin it all

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 08:26

it'll also be fascinating to see how they move on to lighthearted stories again, so it isn't doom and gloom for weeks

Dumdedumdedum · 06/03/2019 08:27

They could kill Finn off in a mutual suicide pact with Bea, that would leave us all laughing.

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 06/03/2019 08:32

Maybe Ned could start wearing a Finn mask every now and again for a laugh. Or accidentally tattoo Finn’s face onto Bea’s arse.

MiddleClassProblem · 06/03/2019 08:36

She does this odd exhale. It reminds me of kids acting in a school play.

MiddleClassProblem · 06/03/2019 08:47

I just watched that video on the platform at the station. My only thank you to the rain today to cover the tears!

AGnu · 06/03/2019 08:53

Ah, yes, of course it'll be all about Mea. It's going to make her aunt, uncle & future BIL sad so she's going to feel uncomfortable in her own home, maybe Toadie will come in with the news when Mea is in the middle of making a cuppa & it'll be a bit weird & a minor inconvenience for her. Besides, she's the only one who's young & has ovaries so it's not like any of them could die young from ovarian cancer but Mea could! Poor Mea. At least her mum burnt her super special private diary that she left lying around so she won't be able to write any songs about it - the notebook was where all her special powers came from. Woe is Mea.

AGnu · 06/03/2019 08:55

Eve gets very upset.

Yeah, I'm not watching that. Couldn't she have just pretended to be happy about it for our sakes?! Pff, she's supposed to be an actress!

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 09:05

She gets upset at the thought of going through the storyline in real life - and she also says when she knew she was leaving, she said the only way she'd leave Toadie and the kids would be if she died Sad

SleepingStandingUp · 06/03/2019 09:06

Agnu becomes... Aghme

OK. So no mounf in the sand.

Toadoe picked her up and kissed her head. He looked over to the kids and Callim looked up simultaneously. They locked eyes. A tiny shake of Toadie's head. Callim stifles a sob. Nelly asks what's wrong and he tells her he kicked a pebble so she hugs him. Meanwhile Toadoe carries Sonya to the house and lays her on the bed. He puts her flowers in her hands. Jade walks in. She asks, "Sonya...?" and Toadoe shakes his head, tears flowing down his face. Jade stumbles to the bed and clutches Sonya's hand. Toadie places one hand on her head and one on Sonya.

He leaves them together and returns to the beach. He sits in the sand with Nell and tells her that Mama has gone to heaven to be with Caitlin. She cries and declares but she needs her as well Toadoe tells her he knows, he needs her too but she'll always be there. The family hug on the beach as a confused Hugo wanders where the biscuits are.

To the left Sonya stands cradling a baby, watching her family return to the house. She smiled and fades.

Jade leaves with the kids, Toadie waits for the ambulance and drives home alone.

Yeah, she cries at the thought of someone saying goodbye to their children.

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 09:18

Is that what you imagine to happen Sleeping, or a spoiler??

MiddleClassProblem · 06/03/2019 09:22

Lol it’s not a spoiler. Sleeping is the queen of fan fiction. Far better than my mound of sand. Although notably a relief that this one doesn’t feature Gary having sex again... 🤢🤮

SpanishFly · 06/03/2019 09:23

Phew! I read it all then thought, "Oooooh, I wish I hadnt read that." It's how I imagine it to pan out too. I've just changed my lunch break to 1:45pm lol x

Borntobeamum · 06/03/2019 09:38

I have cancer and have followed the story line with trepidation.
I watched the first episode of Neighbours and have seem some dreadful acting, but this was so real. So raw. So close to home. I've held my wonderful husband while he sobbed uncontrollably.. I'm trying to be strong whilst watching my world crumble.
This was fantastic acting, and I commend them for it. 😔
