Well that was brutal. I haven't watched it for a couple of years and have started again because I love Sonya & Toadie. I love a good cry but I don't know if I can watch the rest of this week, it's too sad. Definitely on par with Mark Greene and that still destroys me every time I see it. I read that she didn't even want to leave so the writers/producers/whoever are just idiots.

The “coming up” was shocking. I knew from here that Sonya was going to die but I hadn’t told my kids as they don’t like spoilers (they are 12 and 15 boys and have been laughing at me welling up every episode!) however even they were sad to learn that she’s going to die

Wow, I'm so pleased I've found somewhere I can grieve for Sonia without mockery!
Huge neighbours fan here, and so sad to see Sonia is leaving. Why do they have to kill her off?? Its horrible. I know the end is coming today (so quickly Sad ) I think I'll be a mess when I watch. Great actress, big loss to the show. Can I make a deal with the producers and trade Bea, Yashvi, Kirsha, and Ned in exchange for keeping Sonia?!

This isn't the place for spoilers, is it? Because I know one (which you might already know, if you follow lots of past and present neighbours stars on Instagram).

Sad thing is, eve did not want to go, it wasn't hee choice. It was the powers that be as her wage is worth three newcomers apparently.

They're keeping her on behind the scenes to work with new actors.

So we lose sonya to gain finn, Finns brother, delaney, pierce type people.

I'm really sorry the actress didn't choose to leave, I believed the original hype that she was leaving to spend more time with her family, so I'm quite cross about Sonyas's death now, because of that.
I am watching the episode now and I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I must say, I can't remember having seen an episode of "Neighbours" done this way before, though I haven't watched every single episode, or even watched every single year since the start. I don't think I'm wrong in saying this is a very unusual episode, though. Excellent acting.

Well I decided to watch it early on Daily Motion to get it out of the way Sad Need to compose myself a bit before Tesco come.

It is very sad that Eve didn't want to leave. She is a fantastic actress.

Dr Mark Greene was played by Anthony Edwards, who was also Goose in Top Gun. I cried when Goose died too. Anthony Edwards dying always makes me cry Sad

Well. I’m in bits over this story with Sonya.
I know it’s only a tv program but bloody hell. Her character is the best ever on the program with so many layers and complexities. Her acting is superb on all occasions but though this story it’s been incredible. Her and Toadie should have been the next Karl and Susan it is such a shame for the show to lose this dynamic and the family. Also sonya is so young with a young family and the speed of her decline is truly heartbreaking. Finally the fact that she has been axed!!! Unbelievable. I will be crying buckets tonight

Is it right that Neighbours isn’t that big in Australia? I hope the program and actors get recognised in some way for their production and performances in these episodes. Brace yourselves for today, just wondering how to compose myself for the school run. An extraordinary episode.
