It's always particularly satisfying when the dog chooses to sit beside you rather than you other half isn't it.

Our springer (always Mr Schaden's dog - all I ever hear is "daddy, daddy, daddy" from her), has tonight climbed up on the settee beside ME!

I think it's because I'm now giving her a really long morning walk and a shorter evening one, as opposed to two/three middling length ones. She just loves being out of the house for hours at a time. (I don't particularly, but it gets it out of the way)
