Kingy comes across as a really decent sort of chap.

And I can’t quite work out why Georgie has taken on the mantle of the section agony aunt.

"What do you want Lane?" is very formal. I can guarantee he's a lot less formal several episodes down the line!!

Wasn’t there something I read recently about Preston being the most improved city? Some spiffing architecture.

On not sure about that eejit and I guess it would have been on our local news. The city centre does have some lovely architecture though - the Harris library and old law courts especially.

As I said earlier, this stuff with Brains is just a filler in the episode. It has no real relevance in my view.
