This is so sad.

Poor Mrs Smurf, how can the poor woman bear so much sadness.

Mrs Smurf must wonder what she's done to deserve this and to bury both sons.

CJ has such a lovely voice. Dylan Thomas again.

Sorry, this has brought a tear to the eye.

Mrs Smurf’s heart may be broken but that veil is STYLE.

This is the point at which we wondered what was really going on with CJ and Molly. When he says "If there's anything I can ever do?" you think are they over or not?

I suppose he loves her so he is letting her go.

It's so true what Mrs Smurf says about giving the army both her sons and all she gets in return is a flag after their funeral. CJ looks so uncomfortable.

Molly and CJ have a conversation in the church. She wants to turn back time.

He seems quite distant in this.

Molly is finding herself at last.

Look at how she has grown and changed.

It's a pity we don't see more of Jackie really.

How far Molly has come - from a new medic with no field experience to lecturing the Afghans.

She is desperate to see Bashira.

Don't forget to carry on beyond the credits rolling!

Looking on the bright side, if we’d had Elvis’s funeral, that would have finished me.

This is tense. Molly feels she has to right the wrong that was done to Bashira

The letter beyond the grave was enough eejit. I can't listen to that.

So does this bit with Molly mentoring overlap with the boys being back in town in Kenya?

This was so lovely when I watched it the first time. I thought it was such a fitting ending........... then....?

And she finally sees Bashira again. This felt like the right and true end of the Molly/Bashira story although we were still sad about the inconclusive end to Molly and CJ's story.

What if anyone has followed Qaseem and Molly?

Molly repeats CJ's words. STAY WATCHING

Not really eejit as CJ and Molly are married by the time series 2 comes up (though you don't see it immediately, episode 4 I think when CJ tells Jamie "my wife is a serving soldier").

And so...he let her go and she came back to him!! Ahhhh!

Could have got married after he got back from Jenya. They were only there five minutes, thanks to Georgie.

I did enjoy that episode, I really did.

Meant to ask you eejit but did you listen to Luke P in that radio play? I need to find it on iplayer.

That was the real CJ - the one who was honourable, faced up to his own mistakes and put her life and happiness before his own. We really want him back if there's ever another series.

I did listen to the first episode but have still to catch up on the second episode before the third one in Sunday.
