Hi all, I wasn't sure if Raahh was around so I thought I would start a new thread (thanks ferrier) in case of any urgent tennis news that we might need to start posting about immediately! I'm looking forward to Shanghai this week Smile

Grin Greg!! What is he like?!

Fed got off the hook there and no mistake. I agree about the shirt. It looked like he'd left a red sock in with his whites.

Meanwhile here's Delpo in his rusty shorts Grin

He's playing in his usual slow way. Impossible to tell if he's still ill or not!

Now he's coughing on court.

Peter Fleming is making me laugh Grin

DelPo slipped and whacked his knee on the court. The physio came on and told him not to worry about it Confused and left it at that!

DelPo doesn't look too happy.

And now he's been broken. The physio has a lot to say but doesn't seem to be giving any treatment/strapping.

crap. I've just seen he's retired Sad

PrivateParkin · 11/10/2018 14:37

Delpo retired injured Sad

X-post Raahh! I just realised I'm watching on live pause!

That was odd. He was playing well then his knee took a real bashing in the fall - he did get some bandage type stuff on it but he clearly couldn't move afterwards. He didn't seem to twist it or anything so hopefully just a bruise. It had better not jeopardise his London participation!

Raahh · 11/10/2018 14:43

oh, I hope notSad.

JaneJeffer · 11/10/2018 15:12

Oh dear. He's not very lucky at the moment.

JaneJeffer · 12/10/2018 13:03

That announcer thinks he's at the wrestling Roggggerrr Fedddderrrrerrr Grin

Raahh · 12/10/2018 13:09
Grin

I'm fed up not being able to watch. And every time I've attempted to watch a crap Christmas film this week, i have discovered it is one I've seen before. Even I draw the line at re-watching some of them Grin.

The weather is bonkers. It is very rainy, but tomorrow, temperatures could get up to the mid-20's Confused.

PrivateParkin · 12/10/2018 13:11
Grin I'm not watching any tennis as I spent far too long watching the royal wedding earlier (found myself getting unexpectedly emosh at it!). We've got a house viewing later so now I need to do some serious tidying!
OP posts:
Raahh · 12/10/2018 13:16

Oh, I got caught up by the wedding- after vowing I wouldn't.Grin I thought it was lovely.

PrivateParkin · 12/10/2018 13:19

Raahh there was a funny one on yesterday (well, it sounded funny - I recorded it for DS aka really for me) about a boy who wishes for a dog for Christmas... and then turns into a dog himself [grin

But it's definitely a day for not setting foot outside if possible.

PrivateParkin · 12/10/2018 13:20

Same here Raahh! There was just something very authentic about it Confused and I absolutely loved the autumnal flowers and the choir!!

The wedding was lovely but I thought the groom would keel over! It's very windy here but no rain thankfully.

Raahh · 12/10/2018 13:30

The poor groom did look very nervous. But they both looked genuinely very happy.

I don't think I've seen one where the boy turns into a dog Private Grin, I feel like I've missed out Grin.

I don't want to go out, the dog didn't want to go out, so we had a very quick walk. But I will have to venture out to pick up the dc.

PrivateParkin · 12/10/2018 13:31

Jane I know, poor chap!! It must have been beyond daunting for him.

V windy here as well. And raining so can't even put the washing out!

Looks like Kei put up a bit of a fight in the second set but it wasn't to be, sadly. Not that I'm a fan of either really.

I am now sat in my car, wishing I didn't have to get out of it. At least it's not raining...for now.

JaneJeffer · 12/10/2018 15:16

Roger was very determined.

I'm glad Annabel is back in orange. Much better!

Raahh · 13/10/2018 10:42

Just looked at the scores, and Sascha doesn't appear to have had much of an impact on this match.

Fizzywinegum · 13/10/2018 13:54

Coric has taken the first set against Federer and is up a break early on in the second set. Roger seems to be struggling a bit. Didn’t see the earlier match. Zverev can be quite frustrating.

ferrier · 13/10/2018 14:06

Roger definitely looks off the pace. As he has most of the week (I missed the match against Kei so he may have stepped up then).

Fizzywinegum · 13/10/2018 14:28

Yes Ferrier Roger was definitely off his game - well done to Coric though.

I didn’t see his match against kei yesterday but the commentators were saying that it was intense and maybe he was still recovering from that match?

The weather here is grim and I’ve got a cold Sad. Contemplating an afternoon nap but I have to go out a bit later on.

PrivateParkin · 13/10/2018 15:29

Sorry to hear about your cold Fizzy. Nap definitely sounds the way to go!

I didn't see either match today. These bloody house viewings are the bane of my life! Honestly I've never cleaned and tidied so much, it is so boring! I feel like taking the house off the market already Grin

Anyway. I'm pleased for Coric. He's been through quite a lot considering he's only young (he had knee surgery not that long ago, AFAIK) and it's good to see someone different in a final. I saw Roger's first couple of matches and he didn't look too convincing... but he is 37, so something's got to give eventually!

Looking like Djok will get to No 1 isn't it?
