Tennis thread: towards the end of the season, lots of tennis still to be played!

Hi all, I wasn't sure if Raahh was around so I thought I would start a new thread (thanks ferrier) in case of any urgent tennis news that we might need to start posting about immediately! I'm looking forward to Shanghai this week

oh rubbish, just saw that Stan lost to Coric. But at least Kyrgios lost too, so every cloud...

They're showing Kygrios match now, which says it's live but obviously isn't!

The umpire enquired whether he was giving his best to which Kygrios replied that he can get the umpire into trouble for asking that and the umpire told him to do it if that's what he wants to do!

So the grudge match will have to wait eh? I was looking forward to that as well!

If Kyrgios wants to blow his chances, let him. He's an arrogant twerp. There are far too many people around him telling him how wonderful he is, and I am just glad to see the likes of Tsitsipas already doing better than he has, with far more class.

Shanghai can be found on Sky sports if you have access - it was on the "Main Event" channel today, but will no doubt be bumped further down the channel list for something they deem more important (as if anything could be!) as the week goes on.

I see that Cilic plays tomorrow, as does Djokovic...

I didn’t see Tsitsipas today but I do enjoy watching him - it’s as if he’s from a bygone era (which now seems to include his shorts!)

I also liked Stan in that jumper - maybe that could be an idea for a calendar - tennis players in their jumpers. (Log fires optional)
