Tennis thread: towards the end of the season, lots of tennis still to be played!

Hi all, I wasn't sure if Raahh was around so I thought I would start a new thread (thanks ferrier) in case of any urgent tennis news that we might need to start posting about immediately! I'm looking forward to Shanghai this week

Oh are they using that in the doubles?? Ugh!! I love deuce-advantage-deuce... etc. It's great. Is there anyone who doesn't like it? Or are they just trying to make the doubles matches shorter?

Every now and again a decibel light comes on in the stadium and the crowd are encouraged to make as much noise as possible

I don't like the no ad scoring. I am just a luddite when it comes to a lot of things really.

I agree with you all!! I hate fake "show what a great time you are having on our instructions" stuff. If the crowd were into it, they wouldn't need a clapometer or whatever, that's just be raucous of their own accord!!

My DS1 always loses interest when the score gets to deuce and advantage - that’s my favourite bit. My DH keeps telling me that the changes aren’t aimed at me! (Cos I am old)
