im finding it easy to follow and really enjoying it

shame have to wait till next week

HollowTalk · 30/09/2018 21:59

She wasn't as attached to the baby, so she would've left it in the car. Plus if he was asleep, she really wouldn't have wanted to wake him.

Nearlyoldenoughtowearpurple · 30/09/2018 21:59

Oddly just finished the book by total coincidence as found it in a charity shop. Book was not great imho as it told you exactly what happened right from the beginning then rest of book was a let down. Tv series is much better .

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 30/09/2018 22:00

I'm thinking the alcoholic ex wife has taken the baby, not sure what the trial is about unless the baby dies?

Janus · 30/09/2018 22:01

Hollow really? Baby asleep so you’d leave it in an unlocked car and out of your sight?! I wouldn’t, not ever but then it is a tv programme!!

flopsyrabbit1 · 30/09/2018 22:01

is this based on a true story

Flaskfan · 30/09/2018 22:01

And sleep deprivation does strange things. She probably feels likes she's swimming in soup. That's how i felt for a good portion of dd's early life. She was a crier. Think.that's why I'm finding it stressful. And at least i had a good dh and friends.

Misty9 · 30/09/2018 22:02

Do we know whether the baby was even in the car though? Didn't hear him during the inside car shots- and that poor woman is so sleep deprived she may not have noticed? She might be on trial for something else...

AlanBrazil · 30/09/2018 22:03

I wanted to brain the bloke early on when he woke her up on the sofa to tell her to go to bed!

I quite enjoyed that overall.

Ellieboolou27 · 30/09/2018 22:03

Maybe the ex wife took baby?
What’s with the two faces she keeps referring to as well

Dandybelle · 30/09/2018 22:03

@Misty9 that's my theory too, baby never stops crying but was silent in the car shots and we never saw it, my theory is it was never put in the car seat

Misty9 · 30/09/2018 22:04

I commented on that too Alan ! Shock I don't like her bloke, there's something not right about him

viques · 30/09/2018 22:04

but if Noah went missing in Oz why is the trial/ court in the UK?

Misty9 · 30/09/2018 22:05

And why did he do nothing when she vomited over the railing - with the baby in her arms?! Shock

Knitjob · 30/09/2018 22:06

One of mine cried for months. We never found any reason for it. It was relentless. I am surprised I am still sane tbh. Sleep deprivation, stress and jet lag is a recipe for disaster. I'm finding all the crying really upsetting to watch. It takes me right back to those terrible days.

I'm guessing the ex-wife has taken the baby to show how horrible it would be to have your child taken away, then Jenna Coleman kills the ex-wife later.

But I really haven't a clue.

prettywhiteguitar · 30/09/2018 22:06

Well that was tense 😬

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 30/09/2018 22:06

I related to the bit early on where she put the baby in his cot, shut two doors and put the telly on loud, I did that with dd 😟 she had cried for 6 solid hours.

Why was she sick at the holiday place?

Clawdy · 30/09/2018 22:06

Definitely not a true story, though it has some elements of the Lindy Chamberlain case. It's from a novel by Helen Fitzgerald.

Doobydoobydooyeh · 30/09/2018 22:06

Shy did she vomit?

Flaskfan · 30/09/2018 22:06

Lots of the signs at the protest said 'justice for noah'. Guessing the two faces are about the public and private faces she starts to put on. Her dh is a patronising twat.

Doobydoobydooyeh · 30/09/2018 22:07

Why not shy

DickensianHysteric · 30/09/2018 22:08

I don't think she put the baby in the car in the first place. She could have left him at the house, and her self-absorbed husband didn't notice until he opened the boot to put the shopping in.

FanciedAChangeToday · 30/09/2018 22:09

I think it was all the travelling Doobydoobydooyeh as the husband said just before that how tired they were

Graphista · 30/09/2018 22:10

Where's the evidence of the ex wife being alcoholic? Did I miss something?

youngestisapsycho · 30/09/2018 22:11

Why were they both out in the car to the shop tho... they had arrived at the cottage and it was daytime... if they needed stuff wouldn’t he have just driven to the shop himself instead of them all going, after all the travelling?
