No that sounds about right SoupDragon. Oramorph would be way too potent if given to a baby by accident...

Undercoverbanana · 09/10/2018 10:30

Just a bit confused about one thing.

On what grounds would a court give custody of a 14 year old girl to her father who lives on the other side of the world when she has not seen him or been to the U.K. in 4 years, has a mother who loves her, keeps her fed and clothed, is providing a home, a support network etc?

So Alex likes a drink and struggles to stick to a job, but she is clearly paying the bills and can afford to run a car and goes running regularly so she is fully functioning.

A 14 year old would surey be given a chance to have her say in what she wants, anyway.

pepperjack · 09/10/2018 10:54

On the grounds she kidnapped her ex's baby?

53rdWay · 09/10/2018 10:57

Did the driver who saw Jo and Alistair ighting at the shack actually film/post it? I thought it was just a flashback to what he’d seen - going to be a lot harder for them to explain it if there’s video evidence for all to see.

Undercoverbanana · 09/10/2018 10:59

pepperjack - but they went out to Australia making no secret of the fact that they intended to get custody. Almost as if they expected it. That makes it all pre-meditated and therefore an obvious set-up.

placemats · 09/10/2018 11:00

He didn't see them light the shack. He saw them running towards the road.

53rdWay · 09/10/2018 11:09

Sorry, typo: should read “fighting at the shack”

Inkanta · 09/10/2018 11:36

I guess that part of the story doesn't make sense, that he's going for custody of 14 year old who doesn't want go with him anyway.

Parents are usually more reasonable than that. He's gone to a lot of trouble for this custody. The girl can pretty much decide who she wants to be with soon.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/10/2018 12:17

I don't think he is that interested in getting custody, it's more about punishing his ex wife who he clearly hates despite it being him that was the adulterous dick!

There is no way he would have got custody of chloe without framing Alex for kidnap.

KaliforniaDreamz · 09/10/2018 12:40

Bestseller watch Killing Eve - also on iPlayer, it is awesome.

Also Offspring on Netflix, stars Asher Keddie (Alex) and is also awesome.

RosemaryLemonxx · 09/10/2018 13:04

One thing that's bugged me though when she mentioned buying tampons and they questioned her on breastfeeding, I had periods whilst producing milk!

Inkanta · 09/10/2018 13:08

'it's more about punishing his ex wife who he clearly hates'

Yes it must be - harbouring this destructive hate all these years. This is the only way he can hurt her through taking their child - at aged 14. What a psychopath.

placemats · 09/10/2018 13:22

I had periods for the first two months when I exclusively breast fed my third child, but I believe this was lochia blood.

I certainly would not have used tampons though.

SoupDragon · 09/10/2018 13:25

My periods returned with 6-8 weeks with all 3 of my children, despite exclusively breastfeeding. By the time they were 4 months old I might have ventured back into tampon land!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2018 13:39

Same as soup. I did mixed feeding till 12w but periods came back 6w ish and went on the mini pill and used tampons

So yes you can bf and have periods

Hence why bf isn’t a contraceptive

Cagliostro · 09/10/2018 13:46

Yep 12 weeks here despite EBF. Previous ebf baby was 11 months 🙄

PurpleOctober · 09/10/2018 14:59

I think the baby died on the plane, maybe an overdose of medication?

Undercoverbanana · 09/10/2018 15:07

If Noah died on the plane would they really be saying things like “welcome to Melbourne” to each other and getting coffee at the airport? They seemed way too calm and relaxed to be carrying around a dead baby. I think it happened when they stopped the car and he was speaking to Chloe and then they had the fight that the trucker saw.

PurpleOctober · 09/10/2018 15:13

Maybe they didn't realise the baby was dead until later, maybe they thought he was sleeping?

LuckyDiamond · 09/10/2018 15:54

They knew by the time she threw up over the deck while holding the baby and he wouldn’t let the old lady go out to her.

MonkeysMummy17 · 09/10/2018 16:03

I'd forgotten that bit luckydiamond I feel like I need to go back and watch the first 2 episodes again!

Collywobbles1984 · 09/10/2018 16:21

When they got to the airport, I'm sure they didn't have the baby with them, I remember DH wondering where they'd put him but I thought nothing of it at the time! I think I need to rewatch episode 1!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 09/10/2018 16:29

Wasn't the baby in a buggy at the airport?

Undercoverbanana · 09/10/2018 16:41

Noah was in his buggy at Melbourne but we didn’t see him or hear him.

LuckyDiamond · 09/10/2018 16:47

When we went through immigration entering USA with our small baby, who was sleeping, they made us wake her up. The immigration lady said to DH at the time as he’d questioned her, that he wouldn’t believe what people tried to get past them. This is reminding me of that.
