Cant see another thread - anyone watching?

OP posts:

Why can't the police find the yellow bib? Surely it would just mean they'd taken it off Noah before he 'disappeared' - not that improbable surely?

Flaskfan · 07/10/2018 22:13

But how will they explain finding him again? Nanna def involved.

StripySocksAndDocs · 07/10/2018 22:14

I’m confused by the couple fighting beside the road. The ones mentioned by the man online. What have I missed (possibly both on the thread and the tv!).

4forkssake · 07/10/2018 22:14

So now I think jo & Alastair hid Noah in the shack (jo was against this hence the arguing) to frame Alex to get Chloe. We saw some images of them in a fire. Bush fire mentioned in ep 1takes hold of the shack, killing Noah & the truth comes out

FlamingJuno · 07/10/2018 22:15

We think Al is trying to frame Alex so that he gets Chloe. Jo is going along with it until she finds out that Noah has died - collateral damage as Chloe is more important. Al is pretending that Noah is alive and well when he knows he isn't (and doesn't care). Jo finds out and kills Al.
OR as above except Al is framing both wives so he gets both kids.

Delatron · 07/10/2018 22:16

Love the theory that Jo isn’t as frail as she appears.

She does seem very strong and like a different person in court and with the psychiatrist.

Bestseller · 07/10/2018 22:16

I think we're supposed to be confused by that at this stage Stripey, a hint that it could explain Joanna's bruises but not confirmed as them

Petitepamplemousse · 07/10/2018 22:21

Can anyone else not bear to watch this because of all the crying? The sound of a newborn baby crying is too much for me!

whenskiesaregreyRETURNS · 07/10/2018 22:21

Oooh I'm enjoying this. I think the male copper is involved somehow. And how is the Scottish reporter involved that the dad rang?

SouthWestmom · 07/10/2018 22:25

I got bored waiting and looked it up. Might still watch though.
I like it.

StripySocksAndDocs · 07/10/2018 22:26

Ah, ok. Though quite obviously I did missed the bruises! Must try harder I’m so confused by the flip flopping of time times I miss stuff as I try to figure out what’s going on (well that and Im not too capture by it, I get distracted by something else!)

NigellasGuest · 07/10/2018 22:28

What would happen if the police found the yellow lion bib?

Ellieboolou27 · 07/10/2018 22:28

I think the bib is a clue as baby was wearing it on the plane when Jo gave him something in a dropper last episode , maybe the wrong medication which left traces on it, it showed flash backs of her wiping his mouth.

Al was really creepy when coaching Jo how to act in the press release, also think that Al’s mum knows something.

Sidge · 07/10/2018 22:33

Ah see I didn’t recognise the significance of that Ellieboo - I thought maybe they’d used his saliva from the bib to add DNA to the bootie which they’d planted in Chloe’s room.

I found bits of it quite slow tonight but I’m enjoying it, it keeps you guessing and I like the way they mesh the flashbacks into the same scene location.

HollowTalk · 07/10/2018 22:33

Oh good idea about the wrong medication on the bib! I had wondered why she didn't just say she had it.

HollowTalk · 07/10/2018 22:35

Alex's mum has already lost him to a life abroad. Now she risks losing her only grandchild (it seems.) I think she'd back her son to the hilt.

I think the baby died on the plane - stupid husband gave him the wrong meds "because he was tired."

I think the baby was hidden in the shack.

I thought that was just the husband, but given the fight scene, I think she knew about it.

I think she kills her husband and it's "justice for Noah" because people are defending her.

Ellieboolou27 · 07/10/2018 22:36

I found it a bit slow tonight too, still I enjoyed it and want to know what happens so will definitely watch next week.

FlamingJuno · 07/10/2018 22:38

whenskiesaregrey the reporter is involved because the reptile Alistair is planning to sell the story when it's all resolved.

whenskiesaregreyRETURNS · 07/10/2018 22:45

Cheers flamingo

Could all those who have googled/read/know the ending kindly refrain and go and post on a spoiler friendly post??

ohreallyohreallyoh · 07/10/2018 22:45

The first scene of the first episode she steps out in a red dress and her hair down and the Press are there. Have we seen that again? I initially assumed it was her off to court but she is dressed differently then. Any thoughts? She appears so different to how she is the rest of the time.

whenskiesaregreyRETURNS · 07/10/2018 22:46

Sorry FlamingJuno autocorrect!!

PrincessScarlett · 07/10/2018 22:50

I think Jo and Ali both know Noah is dead. In the press conference Jo said "Noah WAS 4 months old". In real life police have said that if someone refers to a missing person in the past tense it sets of alarm bells. Apparently Ian Huntley referred to Jessica and Holly in the past tense and that's when the police knew it was him.

SoupDragon · 07/10/2018 22:56

In the press conference Jo said "Noah WAS 4 months old".

That leapt out at me too.

SouthWestmom · 07/10/2018 23:02

@whenskiesaregreyRETURNS I don't think any of us have let anything slip? It's just part of general chat?

PrincessScarlett · 07/10/2018 23:32

I think Ali has been plotting revenge on Alex for some time. When Alex asked how Jo was and he replied something along the lines of "how any parent would feel when their child is taken from them" I thought he was referring to himself and Chloe. Ali makes a few statements that are wholly selfish and I think there is a very dark angry side to him.
