I think Ali and Jo are framing the ex wife to get custody of Chloe. Jo has been so manipulated and abused I think she has been persuaded to sacrifice Noah in order to frame Alex. That is why Jo couldn't bond with Noah because she knew all along she would lose him.

I'm confused about the phone. Is it Jo's phone, and if so why did she need a new phone card for it? I thought she found it hidden somewhere (but keeps buffering so I may have missed something!)
And also, hasn't she got the yellow bib? - Alastair knows this!

I think she's using the phone to create multiple online trolls to manipulate the investigation.

I think Noah died accidentally and they've decided to use that to frame the ex and get back his daughter .

We reckon it's a set up to frame the ex wife so he can get Chloe back

I think the dad has arranged someone to hide the baby until the ex has been accused then he gets the older kid too. They were arguing outside the shack because he's just told her the plan.
If the baby is dead neither of the parents know yet I don't think

I think they accidentally killed the baby and have cooked up this elaborate story so they won't be done for murder and will also frame the ex wife.

The ex wife hasn't done herself any favours.

I think Jo and Ali cooked this up together in an attempt to frame Alex and get custody of Chloe. Jo because she’s emotionally and physically drained and maybe has realised she didn’t want a baby after all. I’m not sure if the baby is dead or alive. I’m not sure if Ali went along with maybe hiding the baby, not knowing that Jo has killed him.

I don’t think she’s as frail and abused as she appears, I think she’s quite manipulative - as is he. A master of spinning the truth and misrepresentation.

Gosh just finished watching today's episode... what a twist... how many episodes are there in total?

hmm, the plot thickens...My guess is the same as @Girlfriendlikesflowers but I think she had enough of him crying and went over the top killing him in the process,,, hence 'the cry' - see what I did there?!

If theyve hidden the baby someone must be feeding him. The policeman friend, covert meetings, some sort of unspeakable history with Alex.....
