Would 2-3 drops be enough to kill? Baby did have formula ( of a bottle of breast milk) on the plane

So it could be intentional or an accident

StripySocksAndDocs · 01/10/2018 23:19

I'd say accidental.

StripySocksAndDocs · 01/10/2018 23:25

Though the possibility of an overdose on what we saw administered is a bit of a hole in the theory!!

EvePolastri · 01/10/2018 23:27

Is it possible to harm a child through breast milk?

PillowOfSociety · 01/10/2018 23:31

But didn’t we see Alistair alive and well and talking to an older man, I assume her father, in an office. He said something about “it will be 4 weeks before the charges are made public”.

EvePolastri · 01/10/2018 23:32

Yes!!! I think so!

StripySocksAndDocs · 01/10/2018 23:35

I think it's possible. What was she drinking from the small bottle on the plane? Arsehat husband asked for water. Was it that?

On a tangent. The lady on the plane who offered to take the baby for a while. She hardly had the baby for any time at all. What a rubbish offer of help!! Grin

Wingedharpy · 01/10/2018 23:57

But, doesn't Alistair's job involve him advising, coaching and "spinning" with Politicians? - political spinning that is, not zumba.
So, could the " 4 weeks before the charges are made public" comment, relate to his work and have nothing to do with Genna Coleman?

EvePolastri · 02/10/2018 00:08

He gave her something on the plane he had saved from the breakfast she had slept through

I thought long haul flights had beds/cots/recliners

They all looked upright in regular seats!

littlebillie · 02/10/2018 06:37

Who leaves a baby on its own for hours in car seat, normally a parent would sit with it especially on a long journey.

Gersemi · 02/10/2018 06:44

How do we know the car journey was for hours, littlebillie?

PrincessScarlett · 02/10/2018 07:52

Maybe it was the little old lady on the plane!

drspouse · 02/10/2018 08:14

We've had a bulkhead seat a few times but not others, you just hold the baby. And recliners, have you been watching too much TV?? Only in First Class. Economy seats recline about an inch.

drspouse no I haven't been 'watching too much tv' Hmm I have no experience of longhaul flights, saw a few on instagram travelling this summer so I wondered. That's all

No need to laugh and belittle!

drspouse · 02/10/2018 08:44

I need to get on Instagram and get my flights sponsored, clearly!

spiderlight · 02/10/2018 08:46

I got 3/4 of the way through this and then suddenly realised I'd read the book. They'd chopped it around so much with all the time jumps that I didn't recognise the story at all.

MozzieMagnet · 02/10/2018 08:51

drspouse eve
I only ever fly economy and on a short haul (4 hours) still got a bassinet for a 12 week old. The seats near emergency exits with a bit of extra legroom, they set up a bassinet there. 2011.

MozzieMagnet · 02/10/2018 08:55

also a shout out to KLM Smile who on short haul one hour flights have always been brilliant with my kids. Couldn't do enough for them.

Bestseller · 02/10/2018 09:17

The politician's issue related to something his daughter was involved in. I wonder if Joann a is his daughter?

drspouse · 02/10/2018 09:22

Mozzie it's totall luck of the draw, we've done several long haul flights with baby DS and then baby DD. Sometimes you get a bassinet/bulkhead, sometimes you don't. Once we got a spare seat and DS was in his car seat in that for some of the time.

Once we were sat us two plus baby DS in two of a three and someone else was in the other one on a packed flight. The flight attendants found her another seat further up the plane NO I'LL BE FINE she said erm no you may be fine now but when baby DS cries his head off because he's fighting sleep you will NOT be fine. She did move in the end. I think they bribed her with drink.

Gersemi · 02/10/2018 09:26

I thought the politician was going to be significant somehow, given that he was paid by Nicholas Farrell, but according to ImdB he's only in one episode. Odd.

Sallycinnamum · 02/10/2018 09:56

I downloaded the book last night, which revealed what happened a couple of chapters in. However, I think there's a twist towards the end judging the reviews.

Lydiaatthebarre · 02/10/2018 11:52

I missed this on Sunday. Does anyone know if it's repeated, please.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/10/2018 14:58

I’ve been away and downloaded it via demand
