I started a couple of last year's GBBO threads so I'm hoping you're all still nice! I'll help Kitty with the drinks too Grin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 22/09/2018 16:12

Well I just rocked up and parked myself here and everyone's been very nice to me. Of course they could all be slagging me off on another thread 😱

MelonBuffet · 22/09/2018 16:15

No, we’re all bastards on here. We’d use your custard or take your ice cream out of the fridge as soon as look at you. 👀

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 22/09/2018 16:21

MelonBuffet

😂😂😂

Taffeta · 22/09/2018 16:28

Ooh I adore Stephen Mangan and everything he’s in

[stalker]

Must watch Extra Slice.

Anyone seen Hang Ups? It’s on C4 - can watch all series on All4. Funniest thing I’ve seen on telly for ages.

yawning801 · 22/09/2018 16:57

No derailing Taffeta!

But the question is... will you make me an amazing bread lion to make up for it?

Taffeta · 22/09/2018 17:00

Oops sorry yawning Blush

I’m shit at bread, soz

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 22/09/2018 18:00

Extra Slice was great last night,

I’ve applied for tickets but naturally I am in a lottery I will probably lose Grin

Still adoring Kim-Joy and I absolutely LOVE Karen although I see she is a bit Marmite for people..

I really like all the remaining bakers and don’t want any of them to leave.

Bishybarnybee · 23/09/2018 08:53

Breastmilk cheesecake. Just... WHY?

Bishybarnybee · 23/09/2018 08:56

... and re the great mousse /blancmange debate, I think a mousse doesn't have to have egg in but does have to be airy, while a blancmange is an opaque jelly so more solid than a mousse. But am open to other suggestions.

LemonRedwood · 23/09/2018 09:46

Breastmilk cheesecake

I commented to DH that we'll happily consume cow/goat/sheep breastmilk in various forms and we're fine with that but our own is somehow disgusting. He'd never thought of it that way.

Conditioning, innit.

I laughed when they all wanted to try the cheesecake but then Jo said they didn't have time. It was so clearly because someone had just shouted in her ear, "DON'T LET ANYONE EAT THE BREASTMILK!!"

LemonRedwood · 23/09/2018 09:48

And I've finally decided it's Karen I dislike the most. She should have gone this week but didn't because they were doing the playing fair thing; she had better be one of the two out next week or I will have the same rage I did over Stacey.

ppeatfruit · 23/09/2018 09:52

Bishy Breastmilk cheese cake why? Why not?

Yes Lemon I bet that happened Hmm

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 23/09/2018 14:50

I got that too Lemon all of them stopped from eating breastmilk cheesecake.Grin

And I can’t help it, I just adore Karen she makes me laugh so much with her raised eyebrow.

I tweeted her to ask if she was actually watching as not everyone likes seeing themselves on TV and she says she is glued to it and doesn’t remember saying half the stiff they have shown. She did say that last weeks bake off was an absolutely dreadful one for her but I did like her signature dish.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/09/2018 18:28

Hello yawning lovely to have you here.

Take your shoes off - you can put your feet on the furniture if you like - and hep yourself to nibbles.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/09/2018 18:30

No Bishy - the distinguishing quality is that mousse is luvverley and blancmange is complete and utter shite!

yawning801 · 23/09/2018 19:31

Thanks Schadenfreude any ideas how I can shorten your name?!?!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/09/2018 19:36

yawning - usually I get Schaden or Shad. Shadders is not unknown, but not common. - Take your pick.

Taffeta · 23/09/2018 20:30

Love that Stephen Mangan was all over the breast milk cheesecake

Prolly didn’t pass bloody Health and Safety or something Grin

ppeatfruit · 23/09/2018 21:03

Agree about the mousse and blancmange problem !! Feeling a bit rough today are we Schaden ? Wish you better Grin we meet on both this and the Strictly threads , truly telly addicts Grin. yawning also!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/09/2018 10:23

I never go out ppeat

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/09/2018 10:24

Except for food, drink, dogs, coffee, cake etc

Actually, it seems that I do go out.

As you were.

ppeatfruit · 24/09/2018 12:15

I didn't suggest that you had been out Schaden Grin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 24/09/2018 16:51

I go out, but very much under duress and only after consulting the Oracle that is the Radio Times.

yawning801 · 24/09/2018 16:54

I only go out if there is a doughnut or cake being dangled ten feet in front of me wherever I go. I'm going to go with Schaden I think Grin
