I keep meaning to mention that sadly Osaka didn't win this weekend, I think tiredness, and emotions got the better of her in the end, but fair play to Pliskova, who by all accounts played very well.

I'm a bit that Eurosport will show matches if Murray progresses.

Yes I saw Osaka lost that final, it's a shame but still - a good run to get to the final itself, so I guess she can't be too disappointed.

Yes Eurosport are being daft if they think not showing anything until Murray gets to the QFs is a good strategy. For one thing, he'd have to have beaten Goffin to get there which would surely be a match they'd want to show?? And for another, they might be waiting a while for him to get to the later stages of tournaments ATM - no offence to Andy but as he'll be unseeded it's quite possible he'll draw highly ranked players in the early rounds. I know he's only playing in two more tournaments this year but still. Who makes these decisions?!

Poor Andy Murray dropping the commemorative plate although I think there was a bit of a design fault - it shouldn’t have just been able to fall out - do you think they’ll make him another one?

I didn’t see any of the Laver Cup but it sounded like fun. Can’t believe that Eurosport will only show the tournament if Murray does well in it - I’d like to see some other players as well.

I don’t think that I saw the interview with Novak’s parents but I do remember them wearing t shirts with his face on them at the us open years ago which was very odd. Glad that he seemed happy being part of a team - he probably did feel a bit left out with the Roger/Rafa rivalry.

Private I thinks it’s because I’ve not seen Novak for a couple of weeks . I do feel a bit sorry for him because whatever he does people don’t really warm to him.

Although when I do watch him he does annoy the hell out of me with his tantrums and heart thing to the crowd at the end of his matches (must remember this!)

Am back from my hols - we had a great time. Did nothing except read/swim/sleep/eat for 2 weeks. Did not turn my phone on at all & looked at the tablet a couple of times to check emails from family & look in on you lot. Did not go in a motor vehicle for 2 weeks & scarcely saw one as hotel right on sea front.

I thought I'd be bold & totally 'out' myself by posting a picture of me on my hols. Am v proud of this picture. You'll all know me when/if we meet up!

It's not my legs I'm proud of (they look better upside down) it's the fact that I can still do a handstand in my mid 60's!

You'd never see my legs above the water in a pool, even if I could . Maybe a bit of toe. . I'd be useless at synchronised swimming, unless the pool had the depth of no more than metre ..

I tried showing my DS how to do a cartwheel a couple of years ago - it was fairly disastrous, I wrenched my shoulder and he was totally unimpressed anyway We were always doing cartwheels etc at school, god knows why I thought I could turn the clock back 30-odd years though!! Bad idea!

Can't do handstands (or cartwheels) on land.
