private I turned off after Dan's post match interview to do dinner. Given the first 2 1/2 sets of Norrie's match, I thought it would be quickly wrapped up Watched some of the 4th set but it was such a disaster and clearly heading in the wrong direction, that I gave up. Just couldn't bear to watch! Might tune in to the doubles now, although I'm not a huge fan of Jamie and Inglot, as they can often spike my blood pressure!!

If you can access the iPlayer app on your tv you can watch the tennis that way.

Very unexciting match today but I was pleased for Norrie, who looked seriously relieved at the end.

I bet he did Mama!! Good on him for bouncing back, he must feel bloody good about that. Nice result for GB.

I see France and Croatia went through to the final. Cilic will be relieved I should think - he was a set and a break up against Querrey, got pegged back to a tiebreak, was 6-1 up in that... then lost in 4 sets So I'm pleased for him that they won the tie.

Should be a good final, two really good teams (although sad for Spain -I saw some of the doubles online and it looked brilliant).

How's everyone doing in this bleak tennis desert?? There's not even any twitter news... Oh, except that Shrieky has shut down her season due to tiredness... and will come back in January. I wonder how much longer she will play for?

Laver Cup starts Wednesday (well, maybe that's just the draw actually). Surely the Europe team is much stronger than the world team?? It seems a bit skewed.

Is your DD still enjoying her packed lunches Raahh?! My DS also has packed lunch (always has done unfortunately for me) and at the weekend I had a bit of spare time so thought I'd try and make something more interesting for him. So I made some savoury muffins, with pizza type ingredients. I was quite pleased with myself but he came home asking why there was no sandwich and why did I give him "that disgusting muffin" - it was completely uneaten.

So this is (partly) why I need the tennis to come back and occupy me, so I don't get any more "bright" (aka waste of time) ideas!

private the novelty of packed lunches is wearing thin for me. I hate making them.

I'm sat waiting for her to finish her first session at Brownies. She is 8 next week, so did a year on her at Rainbows than she should really ( didn't want to leave) but now all her mates are at Brownies she has decided to go. .

I was looking up the Tokyo schedule, and came across an interview from earlier in the year with Osaka. I had forgotten she beat Serena in Miami, and then Serena was fined for refusing to go to the press conference.

But Serena has a baby you can't expect her to go to a press conference.

15 years of packed lunches so far...only 6 more to go. Private you can't send anything "different" with their lunch because what will their friends think!!

My red button wouldn't work at all so I didn't see any of the tennis. It kept saying there was no Sky signal even though there was.

Jane you're right about the lunches, he said his friends also thought it was disgusting!! Despite none of them having actually tasted it It's back to cheese sandwiches then - makes things easier though, I suppose I shouldn't complain!

Morning Private and everyone else. I’ve not watched any tennis since the men’s us open final - didn’t manage to watch any of the Davis cup. I’m out if the loop a bit with tennis - any updates on Rafa or Murray’s injuries?

DS1 has gone back to uni - it’s a bit of a strange feeling as he’s been home since the last week in may. At least my food bill should be less!

I still make packed lunches for my (almost adult!) DSs - there’s no escape! Yes the usual rule of thumb for school packed lunch is nothing out of the ordinary!

It was interesting to read that Carlos Ramos gave Cilic a code violation for breaking a racquet - yes he was probably just following the rules (can’t really imagine Cilic breaking a racquet)

It’s really windy and rainy here today - I want to hibernate but have things to do.

The storm didn't materialise last night and now I see it's on it's way tonight! Damn it.
