One of the commentators on Sunday said something in the pre match preamble that I hadn’t thought but as soon as they said it I thought - how right are you - basically they said how tough it was being Novak because despite how good you are you are always 2nd choice with the crowd because either Rafa, Roger ,Delpo, Andy etc are playing .

Anyhow I need to see Delpo play live as he is the only one I haven’t (yet).

Btw I love a fisherman’s jumper as much as the next person but in my dreams he wears very little .... but the log fire and wine can stay !

I fell asleep on the sofa during the Bake Off and now I feel very groggy.

I remember Novak saying his dog was on a gluten free diet as well! I try not to eat too much gluten because of the IBS but every so often I go on a bread binge and then spend the following few days cursing myself.

I did feel a bit sorry for him in his interview after the final on Sunday, when he was asked about the crowd support for Delpo, and he said that he was imagining that they were singing "Nole, Nole, Nole, Nole" instead of "Olé, Olé, Olé" etc. So that is a bit sad.

Also, what about that thing he said about Pete Sampras? That he wished Pete was there during the final as Novak had a chance to match his 14 slam titles? And Sampras was there when Federer did it at Wimbledon?? I just don't think he feels like he gets the love he deserves, which is probably true.

I did love watching him against Rafa at Wimbledon though. It was unreal how good they were. But I was cheering for Rafa anyway, sorry djok!

I was trying desperately to find some tennis to watch last night and saw that Sky had Goffin v Thiem from last year's world tour finals (or should I say, WTFs - seriously, who came up with that name?!). Anyway I downloaded it, but annoyingly it was only 5 mins long!! What was the point of that?!

I think Djok has always tried to over compensate for the fact he feels like other players are more 'loved; than him. I think he tries too hard though, and it never comes across as very sincere.

Just to say man 2 chairs down from me on beach deck was image of Delpo, apart from not quite as tall and 20 yrs older. Made my day.

I've just read on FB that Rafa should be defending his title in Beijing at the beginning of October. I'm in two minds about this- in a way, it's good that he will be testing his fitness in a smaller tournament, but could he also risk being around for the end of the year?

in terms of skipping tournaments, Paris would be the best best, as it's not a great surface for him, and he's never done that well there.

I'm sure he's gutted to be missing Davis Cup though.

Poor Cesar, Delpo's dog, he's no longer with us is he? I can't reveal how many times I've looked at scrutinised that pic on his Insta page before!!

Raahh when it comes to Rafa I think he might as well go for it. No doubt he gets all the right advice etc. Although I do really want to see him make the WTFs.

I had to take Raahhdog to the groomers to get his nails and eye brows trimmed. He is desperate for a proper hair cut but it's still a few weeks off. He's starting to look like a floor mop.🤣

Did anyone see the clip of Naomi Osaka on the Ellen Show? She was so cute, I love her.

But she did say that she didn't really know at the time what happened with Serena in the final, because she's always been taught not to be distracted if her opponent is angry/arguing etc, so she turned away and couldn't see/hear what happened. So at the ceremony.... She thought the crowd was booing her. I feel heartbroken for her. Imagine winning your first slam, and that's how you feel?? And it's not until afterwards that you realise it wasn't for you??

I heard the Ellen Clip on the radio this morning. Even days later , it's like they are still trying to find ways to defend Serena. I doubt if Serena had won, she would be spending the chat show circuit talking about Naomi. Her name would probably barely get a mention.

Allez Allez Henri!! I've always had a soft spot for him. Saw him on Centre Court about 100 years ago and then a lot playing doubles with Bahrami and the oldies gang at the Royal Albert Hall. Haven't been for a few years now, since they changed the format and you only get 2 rather than 3 matches a session. I remember watching one match and then someone started heckling from one of the boxes. Took about 5 minutes for people to work out it was Leconte All great fun and entertainment, unless AC was playing I don't know how he had the nerve not to be embarrassed to be on the same court as the other players
