I have just been reminded it starts this weekend- I'm in denial.

I'm not sure about the new judges. I think I will miss Nicole. Maybe not Louis. But we have a New Replacement Louis. I don't like Robbie Williams, and having his wife there might be a mistake.

So- first thread of the year. I will be back when I have had a proper look at what is happening this weekend.

Thanks Raahh. I'll miss Louis Sad but I like new Louis (love his voice) so it's all good! Not sure about Robbie and his missus yet though. We'll see...

Raahh · 30/08/2018 20:57

It's going to be a strange one.

I won't miss Sharon. I was fed up with Sharon.

It was fairly shite last year overall but here I am again GrinI think they're brining back the audience for the auditions which I don't like. Makes it too much like BGT which I can't stand.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 30/08/2018 21:06

Isn't Sharon meant to be coming back as a judge in the live shows? I didn't like her and Nicole last year, they looked like they didn't want to be there.
I think this could be a good change. Looking forward to seeing new Louis but will miss Louis Walsh for definite. I think Robbie will be ok, but don't really know much about Ayda.

Raahh · 30/08/2018 21:34

There was certainly not love lost between Sharon and Nicole. the little that I have read about this year is that Ayda has got some stick already from people saying she is not very qualified to be a judge- I don't know much about her, and her qualifications in the judging area Grin.

I get the feeling Robbie will annoy me more than he usually does- and they will let him sing Grin.

New Shiny Louis will be good, I think.

I will miss Old Louis though, though we've survived without him before.

I don't like the audience for the auditions- or the reliance on backing music, it drowns out the singers, (which helps in some cases Grin).

Had a bit of look at tonight's auditions- apparently some one is going to singe 'Angels' . I hate it when an act sings a judges' song. Very cringey.

And one of the contestants was a member of the group 'Livin' Joy' - who had a number 1 hit with the single 'Dreamer' in 1994- I selling that in the shop I worked in Grin.

I need to buy nibbles . Grin.

I think louis will bring some good advice being as he has experienced the whole process from the contestants point of view. Robbie & his wife ate so funny so going to bring some real entertainment to the judging panel.

Raahh · 01/09/2018 19:57

My family are being a pest and distracting me when I am trying to get organised. It's a good thing this isn't starting until 8pm.

Did anyone watch the 'Voice Kids' this year, btw? I didn't bother. I think the fact it was all on at once, over a week or something, and buried in the schedule when the football and things were on, it felt like they didn't really want anyone to watch it!

ShedDevon · 01/09/2018 20:00

I’m irrationally upset about this judging panel.

Of course i have to watch it to find out

Raahh · 01/09/2018 20:02
Grin

We may have to give them the benefit of the doubt for a week or two.

It could have been worse. It could have been Mel B. I would have hated Mel B.again.

Raahh you are a total star!

I'm here tonight but then travelling for a month so will be talking the nonsense tonight and catching up when I can

I am sooo glad it's not Sharon but Robbie does my flippin' head in!

Raahh · 01/09/2018 20:06

It's a mistake to lose the room auditions though.

The room auditions make it 'proper'.

A gap for for boy bands? there are loads of them!

Yup, here again, reporting for duty. I really did swither whether to watch this year, last year was crap and I know Robbie will annoy me, and I don't know his blummin wife from Adam!

But dd wants to watch it, sooo here I am again!!

NoelHeadbands · 01/09/2018 20:06

Unfortunate white trousers.

TheLastMermaid · 01/09/2018 20:07

I find the dynamic between Robbie and Ayda weird. Can't decide if I like them or not. As time goes on I'm liking him less and her more.

Cam't wait for some brain-not-required Sat night telly though! Good to be in your company everone - I love watching telly 'on' Mumsnet. D'you think Gogglebox could be missing a trick not having MN live comments scrolling along the bottom of the screen too?

IdahoJones · 01/09/2018 20:07

Here you are.

Raahh · 01/09/2018 20:07

Evening Roussette Grin

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 01/09/2018 20:07

I really hope it's not starting the way it means to go on.....

This is beyond bad

Roussette · 01/09/2018 20:07

In the name of all that is holy, what is this nonsense

ShedDevon · 01/09/2018 20:08

At least Mel b is a singer ... who is Ayda? I think it would be better with another singer / music industry person.

We shall see tho.

It just smacks of bottom of barrel

Sorry ayda she’s beautiful and I’m sure a nice person

ShedDevon · 01/09/2018 20:08

Hahahah that boyband hahahahahahha

Raahh · 01/09/2018 20:08

Flat as pancakes.

Even the loud backing couldn't disguise it.

LuckyDiamond · 01/09/2018 20:09

Is White trousers guy pleased to see everyone?

Roussette · 01/09/2018 20:09

Woohoo Raahh... save us from this fresh hell please Grin
