Budd confessed the the female detective he felt the security services set the Asian guy up, she told him it wasn't her job to investigate them however you could see she believes him.
The other detective thinks Budd is the bomber or involved in some way.

So I can't wait for next week.

I presumed someone had exchanged the bullets for blanks to stop him shooting someone else - but it had the side effect of sabotaging his own suicide.

This is the first drama I've actually got into and looked forward to watching for a very long time. Years I don't watch a lot of tv generally). I hope the ending is good and not a let down!
