I wonder why the Steve actor got to stay in the soap all these years, he was a terrible actor, the Andy actor was far better.

Loads- off thr top of my head...Vicky, Karen (twice), Becky, Tracey... did he ever marry Michelle or did they just shack up?

He did marry manky Michelle. He will settle down one day, he just hasn't met me yet :) I have to say that I am very much enjoying young Steve, takes me back to when I first fell in lust with him.

I know the Platts end up living in the last vacant new house, but how do they afford it? Considering they currently can’t afford to replace their car and I’m pretty sure Gail’s current home is a council house which has got to be cheaper than paying a mortgage or rent.

Sick of the sight of sulky Tracy sitting playing with her cereal with her lower lip jutting out.

I actually prefer current Tracy!

Tina has lost a lot of weight. All the men are horrible. Even Deirdre's new guy seems controlling. Ken is horrid, acting as if Deirdre should just take him back because he wants it!

I’ve become slightly obsessed with the picture at the bottom of Deidre’s stairs that’s often in the background when she’s emoting. It seems to be of a shimmery Jesus grabbing the wrist of a vaguely camp looking Boy Scout. I know that sounds odd but it’s honestly what it looks like.

Also Steph and Des look to have the most uncomfortable living room sofa and chair set possibly imaginable.

They use the money Gail got when Brian died I think

The painting is 'Pathfinder' by Ernest Stafford Carlos & I think it is still hanging in Ken's hallway. I don't know when it appeared, as I cannot remember seeing it in the earlier Classic Corrie episodes, and why Ken (or Uncle Albert) would have it.

It's on every weekday ITV3 - the 6am episodes are repeats of the 2.45pm the day before. As there were only 2 going up to 3 episodes a week we're quickly getting through the years (now summer 1990).
It's interesting to see the relationships between characters who are still in Corrie e.g.Tracey & Steve as teenagers.

Everyone seems to be getting shoutier in the old episodes. Felicity & Curly are the worst they both have a permanent edge to their voice

I agree. Too much Duckworths, Curly and barmaid Tina at present. The stories at the moment aren't the best.

It's losing the charm of the eighties

Iwant thanks for that. It’s a seriously weird picture for Deirdre to have, neither her nor Ken are religious or involved in scouting.

This doesn’t feel like a golden time for Corrie, it’s charm is on the wane, it has too many shrill and annoying characters and a lot of the story lines are dull.

Tina won’t be around much longer, I think the barmaid of the month thing is the start of her exit storyline.

Does Raquel take over from Tina

I think she does, although I don’t think it happens until 1991.
