Yes but they were together for a long time in Corrieland, and realistically couples do split up.IRL,I think it would be more realistic if he was mentioned more in modern day corrie, (I know he was in it for a couple of episodes last year) and may be visited from time to time !

I know this sounds ridiculous but does anyone know if the actor who plays Don (Geoff Hinsliff is it) had leg amputation in real life?

The scene tonight with Ivy in the B&B when he was standing then moved over to the bed looked so realistic, I kept rewinding and replaying to see where his leg/foot was and obviously this was long before CGI etc.

I don't think so.,I seem to.remember they used another actor who had an amputated foot to film the scenes of Don from behind?

I'll post the date of the one I was watching last night, look it up on YouTube if you get a chance - this scene was face-on and from the side, definitely GH and very cleverly done I'm so confused!

wouldnt it be embarrassing for ITV if these old episodes got more ratings than the current ones.

I love Bets ,sardonic humour she comes out with some real.corkers, she had me laugh when she said she would never forgive herself if Raquel was found face down in the Thames(I do have a very dark sense of humour) when telling Alec, Raquel would be staying at the Rovers and not going to London doing Modelling.

So, Nicky borrows/steals money from his family - £5 today, £80k 20 + years later!

If it had an evening slot, I bet the ratings wouid be very high!

Poor Bet, with Alec being such an arse. Poor Rita, as the symptoms ramp up.
