She's a really crap.actress ,the actress that plays Tracy ,it did amuse though when she said to Steve , if she ever got married she wouldn't mess it up like Ken and Deirdre......

InterdimensionalHoleOfPancakes · 09/04/2019 09:58

it did amuse though when she said to Steve , if she ever got married she wouldn't mess it up like Ken and Deirdre......

Then in current Corrie last night she was having a go at Steve because he didn't know her middle name and they've been married twice! 😂

Yes, Dixie Jack asking Raquel to bend over to get a bottle of ale and MIke, Jim and him perving was foul.

It's quite sad knowing what's in store for Steve and TracyLuv. It's strange they never mention now how they hung out a lot together as teens, it makes a lot of sense why Tracy always wants to be with Steve despite everything.

I think the only house without a separate front room is Ivy's (now Chesney's, shown from a different side and brightened up a lot!)

It occurred to me this morning that all the houses have been filmed consistently from the same angle (e.g. Elsie Tanner / the MacDonalds / Eileen & co) except for No.11. When Ivy & Bert lived there, we saw the brick fireplace on the far wall; but after the Battersbys moved in, it started to be filmed from that fireplace wall so we could clearly see the stairs.

Who lived in what is now Sally's house - is that Des, or is it Mavis & Derek? I'm trying to work it out because Sally's house seems to have a strange downstairs layout ...

Jenfur · 10/04/2019 21:05

@EggysMom I'm pretty sure it's Mavis's house that Sally lives in now. Des's house is where Yasmine lives.

I seem to remember when Sally moved in, she redecorated and magically transformed it by moving the stairs as well. Pretty sure it was implied that she did it all just by giving it a lick of paint, as you do.

Those scenes with Alec and Jack at the funeral jack’s house and the rovers were very funny, Alec dropping his sweeties as he ran after Jack was hilarious!

x2boys · 11/04/2019 21:57

Martin becoming a nurse!it really pissed me off at the time I applied for my nurse. training about six months after Martin, and as I recall Martin decided to do his training and started it a couple of weeks later ,I had my interview and it was over a year before I started my course !😂

FabulouslyFab · 15/04/2019 19:32

I think I’m falling for Ted Sullivan ..... 😁

Jenfur · 15/04/2019 21:16

I've only watched part of the first episode today but I really love the continuous shots they do in the Rovers, panning from one group conversation to the next in one go. Modern Corrie did a continuous shot in the street recently and got loads of social media praise for it but they used to do it back then regularly and I think it looks great

DixieLandReject · 17/04/2019 11:16

How lovely did Rita’s skin look in the flat scene yesterday? She’s beautiful

HelenaDove · 18/04/2019 16:32

Did anybody else spot the Neopolitan Easter egg on Rita"s shop shelf.

i loved Neopolitan chocolates.

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 19/04/2019 18:30

Did anyone else recognise the estate agent who valued Rita's house? I knew him immediately!

The same actor turns up again some years later in a different role.

Anyone.....?

justthecat · 19/04/2019 19:33

Go on then, where’s the cat?! I thought he looked familiar ... 🤔

JackieLavertyintheFreezer · 19/04/2019 20:17

I know! Apparently he was also an ambulance man in an earlier episode!

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 19/04/2019 20:27

Owen Aaronovitch, who played Jon Lindsay!

Deirdre's conman boyfriend/fake airline pilot/tie shop salesman.

Remember?

Free The Weatherfield One!

justthecat · 19/04/2019 20:37

I wouldn’t of guessed him, but yes can see it now!

SapatSea · 26/04/2019 08:13

I recognised him too!

Steve and Andy are great together. Proper teenagers, bit of innocence and a laugh, not like Seb with HIV and Faye with a baby at 13(?) it's all so grim.

I like all the babies being around at the breakfast table. The babies are never seen in the contemporary Corrie.

HelenaDove · 26/04/2019 16:31

Liz Mcdonalds misogyny is not a good look.

HelenaDove · 26/04/2019 16:35

"Steve and Andy are great together. Proper teenagers, bit of innocence and a laugh, not like Seb with HIV and Faye with a baby at 13(?) it's all so grim"

i have a feeling the directors/producers etc working on current Corrie are frustrated film directors etc

SapatSea · 26/04/2019 16:39
Grin
TheOmega · 29/04/2019 15:09

HelenaDove

what do you mean? Have I missed something?

SapatSea · 29/04/2019 17:05

Liz "slut shamed" Andy's girlfriend when he sneaked back into his room for the night when she stayed and he was meant to be on the sofa. Very poor

DixieLandReject · 30/04/2019 16:06

Liz McDonald’s fashion sense has changed since the McDonald’s first arrived! Initially it was all prim floral dresses, didn’t take long for the tarty, market stall style, attire to appear!

justthecat · 30/04/2019 16:25

The person who was teaching Martins class today, isn’t that the same person who plays the doctor in the current series ?

SapatSea · 01/05/2019 19:15

Well spotted justthecat . She looks just the same but with grey hair.
