Jim was in a yard the other day , looking out at Kevin. He had gone round to tell him there was a spare unit to rent but they kicked off and he decided not to .

All the upset over the extension - they have a front room in those houses . Could Andy and Steve not claim that while Jim and Liz are upstairs with the baby in the other bedroom?

SapatSea · 02/03/2019 20:10

or convert the loft

x2boys · 03/03/2019 10:31

Yes why do you never see the other room, why do people have a dining room table in the lounge surely it gets in the way when watching tv? Why don't they eat in the other room?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/03/2019 21:11

The lofts might not be suitable to convert - I know Curly put his telescope in the loft but no-one has moved up in the Street that I can think of. .

Does Dev have a loft conversion? He doesn't have a front room, does he have three bedrooms or two? ( Is he in the house that Len Fairclough built? It's the newest on that side of the street ) He has the twins and his room. Did Mary live in when he was the Nanny ?

Iwantacampervan · 07/03/2019 07:59

I watched it this morning and have a minor question - Kevin was dressed in overalls in the house and the next shot was him at the auction in his coat, shirt & tie. Did I miss Sally persuading him to get changed or was it a continuity error?
This is the only moan I have - unlike the pages I could write about current Corrie!

x2boys · 07/03/2019 12:40

He went to the pub first and Mike asked him why he was ent wearing overalls, I can't remember the reply but maybe because he felt more professional? Mike said he could drive the jag

Iwantacampervan · 07/03/2019 18:41

Thank you x2boys, I missed that bit - probably making a cup of tea!

SapatSea · 08/03/2019 12:20

Ivy is a great character, Lynne Perrie plays her so well. Self righteous, bitter and blind to her own faults with a dogmatic streak.

Urgh . Having to watch Don snog Julie (?). Shudder. I find him a particularly repellant man.

They are all being a bit ridiculous in the pub about Liz's pregnancy (as they also were about Sally and Gails) I was pregnant at the same time and commuting on tubes and trains in London, on my feet most of a very long day, no one batted an eyelid or offered concessions.

x2boys · 08/03/2019 12:25

Aged Sapat Ivy may well be bitter and twisted and self righteous ,but herEin was murdered and I hate how Don is blaming it all her nothing to do with his affair then Hmm Agree it horrible having I watch I'm snog Julie very cringey.

x2boys · 08/03/2019 12:25

Her son*

HelenaDove · 11/03/2019 16:15

Saltwater by Julian Lennon was playing in the cafe. I remember Julian performing it acoustically live on Radio 1 during an interview.

HelenaDove · 13/03/2019 16:09

Approaching Christmas 1991 The last Christmas that i was living with my parents.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 14/03/2019 06:57

What's happened to Racquel?

EdithWeston · 14/03/2019 07:08

She was Miss Freshco, and started dating Curly, but she then ran off with a glamour photographer and is living in London and working as a model. She'll be back......

I'm enjoying watching Gail, and realising how so much of the strength of her character has been erased by the current writers.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 14/03/2019 07:52

Just watched this morning while eating my breakfast. Felt slightly nauseous when Martin was chewing down on crisps then snogged Gail.

VeraWangTwang · 14/03/2019 15:48

I wish Gail would talk about Elsie Tanner. She was like a mother to her but never gets mentioned

ConfCall · 18/03/2019 19:00

Funny to see Gail, Sarah, David first enter the house where they'll all be living 28 years later.

I can't stand what the current day writers have done to Gail. One of the reasons I stopped watching recently. I'm enjoying Classic far more.

OrderrrOrderrr · 19/03/2019 12:45

I cannot understand why the Platts moved, the house they are in now is much nicer than the Corrie St one, in the garden when they were looking round it was overlooked by a factory monstrosity next door!

EdithWeston · 19/03/2019 21:25

It was so they could own, not rent. Also more bedrooms. And nearer Gail's work, and her stepfather's business and all their friends.

Though in Classic, there were rather more incidental friends, childminders, paperboys etc than you ever see now

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/03/2019 22:56

Wasn't Ivy going to move (which inspired Gail to move to The Street) but then changed her mind?

When is it Christmas ? Need to watch this again.

igotdemons · 20/03/2019 15:48

Just watching today’s first episode - is it just me but it seems like they’ve missed an episode or two out?! Confused

Rockmeamaryllis · 20/03/2019 15:52

Anyone else confused over today’s programmes? Looks like they’ve broadcast them in the wrong order.

tuttifruitti · 20/03/2019 15:57

Yes, definitely wrong way round!

igotdemons · 20/03/2019 16:01

Yes just realised they’re in the wrong order! 🙄

Jenfur · 20/03/2019 16:21

I started watching the first episode earlier and turned it off thinking I must have deleted the one before it by mistake. Was the second one the right one, so if I watch that one first I won't have missed anything?
