The episodes were broadcast in the right order this morning (two Christmas Day episodes). There was mention of Rosie's Christmas Eve birthday but I missed any talk/celebration of David's on Christmas Day.

I loved seeing Gail's house when they first moved in. I don't remember her living in the old house, from the first time round.

Is it just me who doesn't think Ivy is that bad? I must admit I don't get chance to watch every episode but I haven't seen her doing anything that bad. She is a bit mother hen like but she does back down a lot.

She seems to care a lot about Gail and the kids I thought.

Yea she's still grieving for her son. It's fair enough that she would be upset about the kids changing their name.

Rosie and David had a joint birthday party (at Sal and Kevin's), which was shown (Don, but not Ivy, came round as he's trying to rein her in)

I saw part of the Wed pm episodes, but had missed the start, so watched again Thurs am. I thought the order was wrong too - glad it's not just me getting in an appalling muddle!

It's all about to go even worse for the MacDonalds.....

Indeed it is, when David was first born Don told ivy that she had three grandchildren now, and than when she was wrapping the present up she said he was her Grandson and Don said he's not your Grandson make your Mind up Don!And yes I realise that David was ent technically Ivy,s Grandson but it's nice she thinks of him as one.

I thought that was mean of Don to say he's not Ivy's grandson. I know he's not but he's the sibling of her grandchildren and it's nice of her to buy him a present.

It's quite sad watching the residents ad knowing what's to come for many of them. Unlike modern day Corrie I'm quite invested in many of the characters.

Watching today's episodes in the hospital made me even more amazed that they thought the recent Jim and 'Katy' storyline OK to run.

yes, the Christmas episodes were broadcast in the wrong order and now my Freeview box is not recording any at all, I have missed Thursdays and Fridays, anyone else got this problem??

I have watched the Xmas ones and new years but I think one or two earlier ones have been missed ?.It was sad yesterday very good acting from "Jim" and "Liz" which does make a mockery of the recent katie/Hannah story line

As 4 episodes didn't record, can someone do a recap? The last episode I saw was Christmas day and the next one, Racquel was staying with Curly and Angie and Liz had lost Katie. Why did Racquel come back and is there anything else I missed?

Raquel came back because her modelling didn’t really take off in London, she was doing some sleazy shoots which she has not yet been paid for. She is now lodging with Des who clearly fancies her and Angie is annoyed thinking Raquel instigated it. Jack embarrassed himself by asking Raquel to move in with him and Vera.

Alec is back and Bet has told Vicky not to mention the decorator.

Ken and Deidre's divorce papers are coming through.

Yay! Raquel's back. And I think she starts working at The Rovers next week.

We're in for some lovely comedy now, I think

I won’t be sad to see Angie leave, I think she’s a weak character when compared to the rest of the cast back then. Would fit right in with the current cast of course.

I completely misjudged Raquel when I watched back in 1991!

I was only 21 myself, and found her simpering style very annoying, and I totally dismissed her. Now, almost 30 years later, I can see she is going to be a very interesting character.

It’s funny to see the old tills without barcodes.
They are handling the Katie storyline very well, and it shows what a shit idea the Hannah / Jim storyline was, very distasteful and ill considered

I liked Angie! I think Deborah McAndrew is a cracking comedy actress, and don't know why she didn't go on to have more of a glittering career.

I don’t think Angie really develops as a character.

I love Bet and Alec, I’ve fantasised about them being my mum and dad

I would like to find out where I could get a green velvet jacket like Ivy’s, it’s stunning
