Yes, very fine acting from Bet, Alec and Victoria. Classic Corrie is so good that it reminds me how bad the current version is, not that I watch it any longer.

I loved the expression on Percy's face when his new landlady mentioned Fluffy, also her rendition from The Merry Widow - brilliant!

I'm watching these for the first time. I was 10 when they originally aired so I might have caught some bits and pieces when my mum was watching but it was a couple more years before I started paying attention. I remember most of the characters from these days though

Percy taking unwell at his new lodgings must be the biggest piece of overacting ever. He was thrashing about the floor like i dont know what 😂

What Steph wears is closer to the fashions of the time.

Strange that Steve currently in classic corrie has two of his ex wives icing in the same street well.Tracy is his present wife it also an Ex wife 😂

I can see where this storyline is going, no doubt Phylis will start a rumour that Derek has been propositioning Steph for sex out the back garden in her bikini, and given his recent behaviour people will probably believe her!

I think that Chloe Newsome is very good. So much better than the wooden actress who plays Tracy.

Love gorgeous Alma and her oversized shirts. Also like Steph's outfits - matchymatchy - I used to wear stuff like that in 1991 (I was in my late teens) along with too much makeup!

Thanks conf, I often wondered how she got it to stay up like that. Rita and Alma’s is the same though and I know they aren’t wigs. Lots of hair spray and not heavy hair I’m guessing. My hair is far too heavy for that but it would be fun to try it.

Think Rita's is definitely a wig its so unnatural looking. Alma's look natural.

Is Steph and Des's house the one that is now the Platt's or Sally and Tim's? I like trying to work out who lives in which house now. Like Ivy and Don's... I cannot figure that one out and the chimney breast doesn't feature in any of the up to date ones.

I think Sally and Tim are in Derek and Mavis's house and Yasmine is in Des and Steph's. I might have that back to front though. The Platt's house is the one on the end that's empty at the moment. I'm not sure why a new build house has been empty for a year! I'm not sure who lives in Ivy and Don's house now, maybe Eileen or Dev?

No.the platts haven't moved into their house yet, I think Sally and Time house is Mavis and Dereks?

The Nazirs live in Des and Stephs house now. Isn’t Ivy’s house where Chesney lives?

Sally and Kev are in the house right beside Alf’s shop so I think Dev lives in that house now.

Inside of Des and Steph’s house looks very like Gail platts in current Corrie but I know it’s not.

Kevin Webster lives right next to the corner shop again now, I think
