"I find the one where Monica invited herself as Ross's plus 1 to their cousins wedding where she wasn't invited (because it turned out she'd slept with the groom) cringeworthy.
I don't get why the bride wouldn't just invite Monica though because it's not like she slept with the groom recently, it was probably years and years ago."
What annoys me about this episode is that you would think she would recognise the grooms name and realise that's why she wasn't invited.
And if she somehow didn't even see an invitation or ask the grooms name beforehand, the cousin must have known that someone would mention it to her eventually.
Phoebe's birth annoys me. Would they really just let her go into a natural labour with triplets or let a crazy doctor loose on her? Wouldn't it be a higher risk and possibly early birth they monitored carefully and even scheduled an induction or c-section for?
I think that Rachel was meant to be self-centred and self-absorbed when she was younger and when she arrived after escaping her wedding.
She had lost touch with Ross and Monica, and although she had met Chandler once or twice before when he came home from college with Ross, they both looked very different (Rachel's nose, Chandler's hair) although you would expect her to remember Monica cutting his toe off.
I think they just didn't recognise each other when they met again. They both looked very different, Chandler had grown up a lot, Rachel was changing her values, and I don't think they were on each others radars in the earlier years.
If we can go into other TV shows with annoying continuity, Frasier's Dad Martin says in one of the earlier episodes "I never had a brother" and then we meet his brother a couple of seasons later, married to the Greek lady who is angry at Frasier. It annoys me every time. They knew this was going to be a massive show (Phoebe from Friends was cast as Roz but then they decided she wasn't right and cast the other actress instead) and they can't even keep track of a family tree. And they keep mentioning all these other aunts and uncles without explaining how they are related. And they make a joke about their mum saying a "handshake is as good as a hug" implying she was reserved and cold but then show her as warm and loving in other episodes when they talk about or remember her.
And in Everybody loves Raymond their house is completely different in the pilot episode to the others, and his sons have different names. I know why they changed the names but it still seems weird.
