Where they only just "discover" at Monica and chandlers wedding that Joey has "freakishly small feet!"

7 years of living all together as friends and they just discover this now!

Is there anything which bothers you about the show or is it just me?

I mean, I know they're all about 50. So not that shocking.

Monica and Chandler are told they can't conceive because he has slow swimmers and she has an inhospitable womb.

But they then say they could have a baby by sperm donation and even go as far as to look for a donner. But how if her wombs inhospitable.

Carol's pregnant by Ross so they can have only been split up like what a couple of weeks. But her relationship with Susan is serious enough that she gives the baby Susan's name.

Carol,Ross and Susan started as a 3sum.So im assuming Susan and Carol had an affair.

The 3son was the alternative timeline episode, it didn't really happen.

In the real timeline she meets Susan either has an emotional and/or physical affair then leaves Ross. But she straight away says she's raising the baby with Susan. Who can have only been her actual girlfriend for a few weeks.

What about the annoy UK-bashing episode before Emily and Ross get married. "You'd be speaking German if it weren't for us".

Monica is hardly ever at work! She is s chef (for most of the time). And yet is free for dinners etc etc throughout the series!!!!!

I watched the episode with Brad Pitt the other day.

I cringed all the way through. Noy just at the weak plotline, but at his acting - he was so wooden!

I absolutely love friends but over the years I've noticed some definite inconsistencies with their story lines

Im not even English, or Brrrritish as they say, but the tired stereotypes in friends when ross married Emily! Omg. They really were catering for a nation who dont have passports and who take 50 odd years to update their stereotypes!!

Hoosier, isn't it Halloween when Rachel is first pregnant? When she wears a lovely dress and says she’s come as someone who won’t fit this dress much longer

KathyBeale - I had forgotten about Halloween! Yes! In that episode she comes across as newly pregnant, which doesn't tie in with Monica's May wedding (the wedding date is mentioned in the episode with the discount wedding dress sale)

Carol and Susan had been having an affair for a year before she got pregnant.

She was already living with Susan by the time of the first episode and when she found out she was pregnant so probably about 6 weeks gone at that point. So a 2 year relationship by the time of Ben’s birth so I can see why they wanted to have Susan’s name there.

It was quite revolutionary at the time to have a lesbian couple esp with long hair, skirt wearing, conventional etc.

The baby on the bus- there would have been a social services investigation of that and Ross may well have had contact restrictions put on him.

Then he later couldn’t move to Paris because of Ben- but he hardly ever sees him!!

CC is so obviously pregnant in the last episode if you look at her belly from the side!

I think the dates are to be forgiven a little, they are trying to tie in with real life. The end of series were in May, and restarting in September.

No no no. The biggest inconsistency of all time is about Ross’s conception.

We’re regularly led to believe that Judy was barren and he was a medical miracle!! which is why Judy and Jack favoured him so much, but then..

In the scene where Monica (rudely) asks for the Monica Wedding Fund, Judy blames her first pregnancy (Ross) on the dog using her diaphragm as a chew toy.

I always thought it a shame that Ross dumped Julie (lovely Julie who was sweet and kind and trusting!) for Rachel.

Doesnt Ross say he and Carol had sex once after they had split up ? maybe that was was when Ben was conceived?Im a bit confused over wether Monica was also friends with Mindy, apparently Rachel and Mindy had been best friends for years and had practiced 'kissing' on each other so why wasent Mindy also at the PROM, The Gellers thanksgiving etc?

I always assumed Monica and Rachel lost touch after high school and Mindy was an old college friend?

I think we are supposed to have forgotten that Monica's wedding was in May with Rachel pregnant (and probably around 6 weeks gone at that.) When the new series started and they do the usual run of September-Following summer, I assume they started Rachel's pregnancy then, so at Halloween she would be very newly pregnant and by summer the following year they had a heat wave and she was walking around dying of heat pregnant. Those months from April-September from the previous series when she was pregnant since before the wedding I guess are supposed to be forgotten

Monica being a head chef (ie. literally running her own restaurant in New York City -a big deal I’d imagine- but when she gives Rachel cookies (i think when she’s telling her about chandler moving in) they are so rank she spits in into a tissue ‘Monica what is in these?’

Also- Monica being a head chef but hardly ever being at work, never being stressed out.

Phoebe’s brother drops a condom in her guitar case in a very early episode, then runs back to reclaim it.

I like Monica and chandler’s relationship, but all the others are a bit weird. The pregnancy/ Erica thing is weird. All the labours are unrealistic and weird. Rachel not being able to see the baby on the scan picture- ridiculous. And considering that something like 1 in 3 births are c-sections, surely phoebe snd/or Erica would have had one?

Courteney cox is pregnant in the last series which is why she actually looks healthy and not scrawny and is wearing lots of floaty shirts and there’s lots of head shots!

Monica has the easiest to run restaurant in the whole of NYC. I know a few chefs and even in small, local restaurants they work insane hours and all seem to spend much of their time off drinking.
