Where they only just "discover" at Monica and chandlers wedding that Joey has "freakishly small feet!"

7 years of living all together as friends and they just discover this now!

Is there anything which bothers you about the show or is it just me?

Did they cast her so audiences would dislike her?
Her accent sounded a bit whiny to me. Not sure if I was imagining that or if it just sounded whiny in contrast to the DRAWLS we've become accustomed to. Obviously on Cold Feet she sounded normal!

Monica has been portrayed as a highly strung, controlling character throughout and yet at her wedding she's apparently okay with Joey stuffing up his role and has time to sit with Rachel discussing her pregnancy test.
It doesn't ring true. Monica would have been a Bridezilla for sure.

I saw the one where joey proposes to Rachel last night.

He proposes with ross' grandmother's ring by accident. But when Rachel shows Monica she doesn't recognise it and says, wow that's bigger than mine. But it was her grandmother's ring wouldn't she recognise it.

Apparently Patsy Kensit turned down the role of Emily before it went to Helen Baxendale.

The biggest issue with Monica’s wedding is that she reserves the space when just looking at a venue thinking there will be a waiting list for years, then the space comes up and when they finally get married it isn’t the same venue at all

wonder why patsy kensit turned it down! I think it would have been harder to make audiences side against her. Her voice is less annoying.

The different dress annoyed me sooooo much at the time. Not sure why it got under my skin so much but it did

That wasn't Helen Baxendale's real accent that she used as Emily, was it? She sounded very stilted. Other than Friends, I've only ever seen her in Cold Feet.

But she ended up returning that dress, so it deliberately wasn't the one she wore for the wedding.

I think a lot of these are people mis-remembering the story lines!

I just got Patsy Kensit muddled in my head with Patsy Palmer and spent a few minutes imagining an Eastenders/friends mashup, that would have been interesting..!

In the one with the dress, she gave back the dress to that woman who was blackmailing her with the swing band. She even led chandler to bed whilst wearing it before handing it over.

I have always hated how much of a bitch Monica is to Phoebe over her wedding. Monica is meant to be a control freak but she had never been to the point where she was just an absolute bitch to one of her best friends or tried to intentionally ruin something for them. I don't know what they were thinking with that episode but it always made me dislike Monica after it

Oh I agree, she was horrid to her during the wedding practice dinner thing and seemed to enjoy it all going wrong for phoebe earlier on the next day.

I'm talking about the dress she takes off the rack in the shop, and fights over with the other bride. It is a different dress to the one she is wearing at both the start and end of the episode.

Yeah there is dress inconsistency within the episode

I get unreasonably annoyed during the scene where Carol is having her pregnancy scan and Ross is playing around with a speculum. Carol then tells him it is used to 'open my cervix'. WTF?

Ah sorry @LunaTrap, I totally misunderstood. As for the speculum/cervix comment maybe Carol is a fan of the writings of Rocky Flintstone.

Emily was awful, but I disliked the actress in cold feet too, come to think of it she is pretty much the same character in both. Stuck up, selfish, whiney, and annoying.

I hated the fact they used joey to marry them. If that were me I wouldn't feel like I was really married iyswim. Especially as joey was portrayed as a bit "dim" too.

Remind me about Monica being a bitch to phoebe

Phoebes wedding, Monica was the "planner", think headset, strict timings etc. Phoebe blew her top at the rehearsal dinner (understandably) then "fired" Monica. Flowers etc went wrong the next day and Monica was a smug cow about it all.

I can't even remember phoebes wedding! Who did she marry and when?
