I've just seen the seedings for the US open- at least this year , Rafa and Federer obviously - and it looks like Serena has been seeded 17th in the women's, and doesn't need any special favours this time .

Delpo is seeded 3- which means Fed theoretically (I think) will meet him in the semi final.

Be interesting to see whose half of the Djok ends up in - he's seeded 6.

My post ate a bit - it should say 'at least this year Rafa and Federer are seeded 1 and 2'

Which they would have been last year, had Murray withdrawn before the draw.

I'm wondering where the astronaut got the US Open 18 t-shirt from? Do Amazon deliver to the Space Station?

And if Amazon Prime video works in space, there is hope for us all!

and I've just read Sascha Zverev has taken on Lendl as his coach (Which was rumoured during RG). Could be a good move.

Just been reading about Sascha/Lendl. Interesting. Good move for both - it's a bit like when lendl first started working with Andy Murray I suppose - in that it's someone with heaps of talent that he could help make into a champion.

Meanwhile another newsflash: Nadal to play sleeveless at the US Open. Just thought I'd mention it

Private now Rafa sleeveless is definitely something for me to look forward to. When I can get to grip with bloody Amazon .

Just having a quick catch up - had a busy few days. Not convinced about tennis in space, Lendl and zverev should be an interesting combo but mostly excited about sleeveless Rafa at the us open - yay!

I think we’ve got amazon prime on our tv but might need a lesson in how to use It from teenage DCs (they do come in useful for some things)

The draw is interesting- Stan is getting better, and Grigor is losing focus, so really, it's Dimitrov's match to lose.

Rafa has drawn Ferrer- I'm not sure David will pose much of a threat, but stranger things have happened.

I wondered which half of the draw Novak would land on- and it's Federer's- so a quarter final match up in prospect - and my money would be on Djok.

Murray has an ok first round- but it's not so great after that- and he's in Delpo's quarter.

Toughest draw possible for Ferrer in his last (I think) Slam. But a good way to go, presuming he won't win that is!!

DelPo v Tsitsipas is a potential 4th round!!

Yes definitely - it will be on a show court etc, better than losing on an outside court somewhere!!

I loved watching Mahut's son flossing at RG too. He's a lovely little boy.

That’s so sweet - I didn’t realise that Mahut was that old. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him after he lost that epic match against Isner.

Getting excited about the us open now - I’ve had a look at the order of play but can’t work out if the times are uk times or us times. If they’re uk times Murray will be playing at about tea time and Rafa will be on in the middle of the night but I need to do some further research.

That sounds about right for the match times Fizzy - I know Delpo plays in the middle of the night UK time, so there's no chance of me watching that. Andy Murray at tea time though, now that I could manage!

I think Stan v Dimitrov seemed to be on at a normal-ish time for UK viewers as well (although I can't remember exactly when).

I think they were us times. Dimitriv v wawrinka is on at 4pm us time so might get to see some of that match - it’s very confusing!

Aha right ok - so that should be about 9pm here?? Hopefully?!
