But have you got twiglets Raahh?

I feel as if I need some even though I don’t really like them Grin

Djokovic about to serve for the match.

Fizzywinegum · 19/08/2018 22:25

Set sorry!

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2018 22:27

I used to love Tales of the Unexpected. Spoiler Alert!! There was one where the woman killed her husband by hitting him over the head with a leg of lamb and then cooked it and fed it to the police so there was no murder weapon Grin

Raahh · 19/08/2018 22:28

I love twiglets BlushGrin- I buy the tins of them around Christmas- but am usually sick of them by around the second week of December Grin. And cheeselets- that they call 'treeslets' and are tree shaped , just for Christmas.

Jane Grin

Some of them are so rubbish- I remember them being really creepy and having proper twists- and most of the ones I've watched have been very disappointing Grin.

But they are short Grin

I love Twiglets , but they are not as good & as mouth burning tasty as they were when I was a child................. how I love to hark back.........

Sorry to see (on line) that Djok has won the first set..

Vamos, Rog - if that ain't a mixed message!

Off to bed - boring seeing it on line - will wait for all your verdicts le matin (channeling mon francais, as I have a bi-lingual PFGC I need all the practice I can get!)

A demain!

PrivateParkin · 19/08/2018 22:32

Djok definitely the better player so far. Maybe Roger can produce the unexpected to go with your viewing Raahh?!? Grin

Fizzywinegum · 19/08/2018 22:33

I remember the Timothy West one when he turned into a bee (I think) - Saturday night nostalgia.

PrivateParkin · 19/08/2018 22:36

Jane the perfect crime! Grin (the leg of lamb I mean).

Magi twiglets definitely don't pack as much of a punch as they used to, I agree!

Note to self: buy cheeselets Grin

Raahh · 19/08/2018 22:38

Fizzy Grin

Private I'm not actually fussed who wins, really. I don't want Djok to be back to his all conquering best, but I don't want Federer to win either. Grin

I remember that one Fizzy and they fed the baby Royal jelly and he started buzzing Grin

The Twilight Zone was great too! Boy have I watched a lot of crap TV in my lifetime!

magimedi · 19/08/2018 22:39

Agre with you, Raahh

PS: DIL is very bored with Harry 10 x per day Grin

Fizzywinegum · 19/08/2018 22:42

I’ve just googled it Jane (in case I was imagining it and going mad!) - apparently it was based on a Roald Dahl story.

Not sure if I watched any more - I still imagine Timothy west as a bee now if I ever see him in anything!

Raahh · 19/08/2018 22:42

magi I can imagine. After a while, you can have too much Harry. Grin

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2018 22:45

I remember one of my flatmates having the book of Tales of the Unexpected Fizzy back in the 80's!

PrivateParkin · 19/08/2018 22:48

Fizzy I've read that creepy Roald Dahl story (shudder). It was in a collection of his stories for adults, far too sinister for me! I am easily spooked though, although I do quite like Tales of the Unexpected on TV! I haven't seen the bee episode though (must avoid).

Fizzywinegum · 19/08/2018 23:03

Don’t watch it Private! I must have watched it over 40 years ago and it’s stayed with me all of that time!

Is anyone watching the tennis? Grin

Looks like Novak’s going to win - he’s a break up in the second set.

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2018 23:07

I think he has it in the bag now.

PrivateParkin · 19/08/2018 23:11

I've got half an eye on the tennis. DH is watching a film on TV - the one where Tom Hanks goes to Russia to exchange prisoners or something

PrivateParkin · 19/08/2018 23:13

Bridge of Spies - it's good, I've seen it before but it's one of those films where you need to concentrate (which I'm not).

Yes looking like Novak - it hasn't been v exciting.

Raahh · 19/08/2018 23:13

It's looking that way.

Now, the last time Novak won something that he had tried umpteen times to win, (RG), it seemed to mess with his head, and he went into a bit of a decline...

OP posts:
Raahh · 19/08/2018 23:15

I love Bridge of Spies- but it makes me feel old, because I saw Mark Rylance play Hamlet in 1988 (in his pyjamas). I had a massive crush on him then.

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 19/08/2018 23:16

Bridge of spies Private? My DH is watching that upstairs.

So Djokovic has won - Roger definitely wasn’t at his best but well done to Novak.

PrivateParkin · 19/08/2018 23:17

Yes good point Raahh! I wonder if this will be the same scenario...

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2018 23:17

He seems more content now though Raahh. It must be an amazing feeling to have won them all.
