Yes Private I saw the video and Andy's response to being told to take it down!

PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 15:04

Yeah - he did have a point!

PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 18:30

Yikes Andy looked like he was about to go 5-0 down but he held on for 4-1..

Raahh · 13/08/2018 18:36

Looks like he's just lost the set 6-1 ,Private

PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 18:36

Oh man - 6-1 first set Sad

PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 18:38

X-post Raahh! Paire is watching in the crowd...

Raahh · 13/08/2018 18:47

Is he? How's his hair/beard? Grin

OP posts:
PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 18:50

Well he's wearing a hat so I can't comment on the hair, but the beard is present and correct...

Raahh · 13/08/2018 18:56

Oh goodGrin.

Looks like Murray is doing a bit better in the second set.

OP posts:
PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 19:09

Murray's looking good now. It seemed to be his serve that was a problem in the first but he seems to have sorted it out now.

Raahh · 13/08/2018 19:15

It's become one of those topsy turvy score matches Grin

OP posts:
PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 19:41

It really has.

Pouille has just been trying to get a butterfly off the court - a shame AC isn't here to tell us what kind it is Grin

Raahh · 13/08/2018 19:43

Oh, yes. A nice bit of nature watch, along with the beard chat and picnic tips. Grin

OP posts:
PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 19:50

Aw - is it wrong to say that I... miss AC?!!

Raahh · 13/08/2018 19:52

Well, back to the drawing board for Murray. With barely any match practice before the US open, I wonder if he will still go ?

OP posts:
PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 20:04

Ah that's a shame for Andy Sad ... I think this comeback is going to be very up and down. But I believe in him! I really do.

He won't play now until the US Open - presuming he will actually play there, that is.

PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 20:06

Sorry Raahh yet another x-post!! Great minds and all that Grin

Raahh · 13/08/2018 20:13

It just goes to how how much we've been watching/following, PrivateGrin.

He could at a push get a last minute wild card for Winston-Salem, if there were any available- if he felt he wanted to play the US open, but didn't want to go in 'cold'.

OP posts:
PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 20:16

Yes - that could be a good move for him Raahh

kazzaD66 · 13/08/2018 20:23

Yes Private it IS wrong to say you miss AC! Have another sherry and lay down in a darkened room for a while Grin

PrivateParkin · 13/08/2018 20:30

Kazza Grin now that sounds like a plan!

Fizzywinegum · 13/08/2018 20:38

Hee hee I quite miss AC rambling on about nothing in the background Grin.

Not sure what to make of Andy - not sure if he’ll go to us open - he’s going to struggle playing 5 set matches. I wish it was different and things were more positive for him.

kazzaD66 · 13/08/2018 21:05

Because I don't have satellite TV etc, I'm relying on you lovely lot to keep me posted on all things tennis - but it does seem to me that Andy has been very unlucky in his draws since his return. He could have drawn some (fairly) obscure opponents but seems to draw the seeds all the time....Kyrgios, Edmund, Pouille. I know he's about 375 in the world and needs to beat whoever it may be across the net, and I don't know how he is playing because I can't watch him, but it does seem as though he's had the thin end of the wedge lately Sad

Fizzywinegum · 13/08/2018 21:17

I agree Kazza he has been quite unlucky with his opponents - if he’d won this match he would likely have been playing Federer next (assuming that Federer wins his match).

Although I’m not sure that there are many easy opponents these days.
