I feel so sorry for him.

GrouchyKiwi · 15/07/2018 14:49

Thanks for thread, Raahh.

I want him to remember that he beat Federer.

bookbook · 15/07/2018 14:49

aw, its a bit sad to watch atm - however, DH has just brought me a coffee, and a slice of cake , so I'll manage to keep watching

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:51

Grouchy that's what he needs to do.

OP posts:
Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:52

To be fair, he didn't do much better against Rafa in the US open.

It could be the occasion, he is probably exhausted.

PrivateParkin · 15/07/2018 14:52

Thanks Raahh

My mum has just brought in some strawberries and mini meringues Grin they'll be gone in about 5 seconds

Merrylegs · 15/07/2018 14:52

Oh just added to old thread, (said he needs to channel his inner bad boy and get fired up. Might see him through.)

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:55

I have salted peanuts.

Oh, you don't see that happen often.

Poor Kevin. Everything is against him Sad

Thanks for the thread raahh
Poor Kevin :( this is not going well.

GrouchyKiwi · 15/07/2018 14:57

Hopefully that will help him settle.

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:57

But hey- he's done better that 126 other players in the draw.

He has to remember that.

I'm glad to hear the crowd cheering for him this time. But they want to see a decent final, no doubt. Will be a shame if this is over in an hour.

Have just seen DoC for the first time today. That's a very bright dress.

I like how the crowd is cheering him too.

Raahh · 15/07/2018 15:05

The DoC looks good in yellow. Heck, she looks good in most things Grin.

If Novak is going to win this - and he probably will- can Kev at least have a set?

Kevin is just unable to get anything right atm. Sad

I bet his legs feel like they don't belong to him , so no good for him serving and all the unforced errors must have something to do with the elbow

The80sweregreat · 15/07/2018 15:10

Kate hardly seen her children this week! ( not judging by the way !) different world being a royal personage. She alwsys looks
effortlessly cool

Raahh · 15/07/2018 15:11

Djok will be dangerous going into the hard courts/US open, if he's back on form.

Toronto (Rogers Cup) in a few weeks (starts first week in August).

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 15/07/2018 15:11

If he could just get a bit of momentum the crowd would get behind him.

ladymelbourne1926 · 15/07/2018 15:12

Tiny break back chance here but I don't hold out much hope.
At this rate it will be over before the footballs even kicked off......thus solving our viewing conflict at least.

DramaAlpaca · 15/07/2018 15:12

Poor Kevin. The atmosphere is a bit subdued today. I fear the result of this one is a foregone conclusion, but it's not surprising really.

It should liven up a bit for the mixed doubles final. I'm looking forward to that, I've been enjoying watching Murray & Azarenka.

Raahh · 15/07/2018 15:14

I wish i hadn't seen mine. Driving me nuts

Love them really Grin

.
This morning, I used my Wimbledon 1990 towel after my shower. I didn't go in 1990, I went in '94, but the friend I stayed with (whose dad had a high up job there, hence the tickets) had a cupboard full of old towels and gave me one. And 1990 was an Edberg year Grin.

This is one of the most one sided finals for a while- and Kevin is not a bad player. Sad

But the last two matches will have taken so much out of him, mentally and physically.

The80sweregreat · 15/07/2018 15:16

Kevin beat Feds / he is a hero despite today being a one horse race so far

Raahh · 15/07/2018 15:18

80s he is my hero, for beating Federer.

I'm betting Sue regrets the 'number 9' tattoo now. Grin

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 15/07/2018 15:19

I’m terrible but seeing that Fed smug smile wiped off his face was worth today being not so good.

Raahh · 15/07/2018 15:19

And I will say again- it could have been Isner.

At least I've always liked Kev!
