It's funny , before each big tournament, they big up the Next Gen. Who just seem to fade away.

It's the over 30's who are ruling the roost.

Pat Cash is on radio 5 saying Wimbledon is the best two weeks of his year. You and me both, Pat.

private I agree. There's a reason I always used to use my holidays (pre dc) to watch it.

But onwards- there are tournaments to come.

I must admit, much as I love Wimbledon, I also love RG. I'd love to got to Paris.

I love Wimbledon but if I had to pick I would pick RG as my favourite grand slam, it's a beautiful place and has a beautiful atmosphere, plus Rafa usually wins
Didn't really enjoy that final, but still watching hoping the mixed doubles final is better.

lady Rafa winning is always a bonus.

jane I would too- some of the clay tournaments have amazing settings.

Boris speaks sense, about how much Djok wants to be loved in the way Roger and Rafa are. I can't see it happening, he does take it personally. He needs to just take it for what it is.

He tries too hard. Not everyone can be Boris!

Boris has said what I always think- that winning the French took a lot out of Novak, mentally.

And yes, if there was a Man of the Tournament award- Kevin would win it.

And Kev has made some money in the last year- finalist here , and the US Open.

I've been to Joke's restaurant in Monte Carlo. It's really good.

Not the final I wanted - I fell asleep in the middle of the second set

But Kevin is a great guy & I hope it inspires him for the US Open.

Yes, it made me wonder whether Serena had little Olympia waiting in the wings yesterday, maybe dressed in some cute tennis outfit, 'just in case'

Oh well, almost over for another year. Might try and catch a bit of the mixed doubles but 6.40pm here, so need to think about getting ready for dinner soon

Didn’t watch the final today but have enjoyed catching up with your comments - I would have liked to have seen Kevin win but think it was just a step too far for him this time.

Tim Henman won a tournament in Tashkent - he had to wear a special outfit and a hat when he got his trophy (I don’t think anyone else wanted to win!)

I’ll be keeping up with the thread - looking forward to more random musings about tennis and Rafa’s thighs. I love hearing everyone’s points of view.

I still think that Rafa is cute - he’s got a nice face but if he did have a hair transplant it didn’t really work. I still like him though
