Did anyone watch this back in the spring?

I did. I loved it albeit the ending a bit incomplete- left open for series 2.

Why is it on again so soon? I see it's on BBC Wales again tonight. It doesn't say it's a repeat but surely it can't be series 2 already?

I watched this on BBC1 just s few months ago. I waited week yo week got the next instalment. The series was 8 weeks long.
Anyone know why they are repeating this so soon?

Just caught up. So annoyed that Evan turned up just as Steve and Faith were about to kiss.

whenskiesaregreyRETURNS · 01/09/2018 19:52

I have no idea what happened but don't care enough to find out.

Same here. After episode 6 DH declared he'd given up, couldn't be arsed. So I watched ep7 by myself, didn't tell him. He turned over to ep8 and said we might as well watch it since it was on. He didn't even notice he'd missed an episode - even when I pointed it out!

I'd like her hair, shoes, house and views and Steve Baldini but I really couldn't be arsed and no one seemed to care about Evan in the end.

Crinkle77 · 01/09/2018 21:35

I was close to giving up but it started to get a bit more interesting by episode 5. Then I started fancying Steve baldini. I didn't care about Evan either. It was all Faith and Steve. Wonder if the writers intended that or it was accidental.

gutrotweins · 01/09/2018 22:28

I had to mute the music - droning on... and on...and on.

Also confused about the money in neat packages of £200k, £120k or £90k. In whose bank accounts? Photocopied bank notes, lost accounts...??? Confused

Then the time wasted with cinematic gazing into the sun, swishing hair and cars driving onto deserted beaches (like, who wouldn't notice them there?!)

Ugh... but the music...the music.
Never again.

tinstar · 01/09/2018 23:22

Oh but I love the music!

I think that they are going to regret ending it with Evan reappearing. They should have ended a few moments earlier with Faith and Steve almost kissing but being distracted. We didn't need to see what distracted them.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2018 14:09

I love the music

So the man in the car wasn’t Evan then. The one who hand cuffed the two police together

Even literally turned up at last minute grabbing kids

Where has he been

If i were faith , esp after the drugs and unfaithfulness , I would tell even to fuck off and snog baldini

Yes so weird the gp sister and friend all didn’t have the children

Surely ss wouldn’t uproot children to foster home if family about

beanaseireann · 05/09/2018 23:04

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was a bit mystified by all the goings on.

BusterTheBulldog · 06/09/2018 09:28

This has to be the worst programme I’ve ever seen. It’s laughably bad. I’m on episode 6 now, I can’t bet it but I also can’t seem to switch it off!

Charley50 · 06/09/2018 19:03

Not as bad as series 2 of Doctor Foster surely? GrinWink

BusterTheBulldog · 06/09/2018 21:16

A fair point Charley50, I’m sure that was less episodes though! And don’t start me on the music!!!!

ellenanora5 · 07/09/2018 01:51

Just finished watching it, it was very slow for something that only happened over seven days, I was constantly hating it and loving it, got very confused with all the corrupt police, wondered did I miss a bit here and there sometimes.

I loved the music, thought it was great, loved the theme song, Baldini was great, (wasn't he Rob in Stella)

Poor Arthur was being used by everyone.

I don't think Evan really came back, I think when she heard the children saying Mammy is out here and she looked up it was just an image in her head, I hope so anyway otherwise she should re lose him for good the tosser.

The chemistry with her and Baldini at the end was, well phew!!!

And I liked her, thought she was great.

I thought this was the best programme in forever I can't remember one this good
Captivating
I think Eve Myles was brilliant
And I LOVED the music
Really sad it's finished
