can't believe got another 3 years to go!!

littlepicklesmum · 26/05/2007 11:37

Oh so Charlie DOES die...

littlepicklesmum · 26/05/2007 11:38

Anyone watching Prison break too? thats a good one..

LazyLine · 26/05/2007 12:15

To me, that was A)Not the future. Jack's dad seemed to be alive, Kate was not in prison where she would be likely to be should she ever get off the island and Oceanic had not gone out of business. Or, B)In getting off the island, there was some sort of time warp in that a lot of stuff that had happened never happened, or that no-one remembered being on the island (except jack) as Kate seemed to think that he was a bit mad.

I suspect that we will be back on the island when we return.

Huge thanks Joolstoo for that new link! Have just watched the two episodes back to back and it was brilliant! Shed a tear when charlie died though
I have no idea what was going on with jack as it did seem that his dad was alive - or was it to do with the weird island thing of things healing etc that due to his body landing there he wasnt actually dead? Not a clue really just a wild guess! Thanks again Jools!

LazyLine - i think you are right on target there! I think they do get off the island but its all wrong...its all messed up....because they shouldnt have left the island.
would be very very weird if it turned out that it was all a 'dead' world....like everyone walking about had died and carry on in 'this' reality.... ok, im confusing ...I know what im talking about

LazyLine · 26/05/2007 17:43

KerryMum, it's on sci-fi channel currently, but the BBC have bought the terrestrial rights.

the prog was looking BACK at Jack then there was the scene at the end.

In the extra programme on TVLinks - Lost, The Answers they didn't even mention it, it stopped at the goings on in the Looking Glass

popsycal · 26/05/2007 19:52

spolier again......

all the way throughm, i assumed 'jack qwith the beard' was flashback (and still sometimes do - mentioned ringing his dad's office so he was still alive ) but at the end he said to kate - we should never have left the island we have to go back......so it must be the future and the 'all I have been through' to which he referred must have been the island etc?

it is a bit confusing and doesnt quite fit but i thought it must have been

JoolsToo · 26/05/2007 19:58

oh I didn't hear him say that (or didn't twig )

I may have to watch it again!

popsycal · 26/05/2007 20:02

i am going to watch the second one again nwow that i know what to look for :O)

treacletart · 26/05/2007 20:35

SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER
Jack actually mentioned his dad a couple of times. First when he's trying to get his prescription - something along the lines of "no thats not me that's Dr Christain Shepherd my father" and then later when the doctor confronts him in the corridor he says something like "go upstairs and get my father and if I'm more drunk than him you can fire me" - guess he could be rambling - or maybe the power of the island means his dad's not dead any more - nor Clares of course

SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER

treacletart · 26/05/2007 20:36

sorry dont know how the riddiculous dramatic pause slipped in there!

popsycal · 26/05/2007 20:39

treacletart,,,,that iis what i was thinking too - but could be explkaine by rambling like you said

LazyLine · 26/05/2007 21:03

The thing is, that Jack never refers to "the island" when he talks about going back. He just says that they have to go back. I think that they left it all very ambiguousdue to all the time and space jigglywotsits that have been going on.

There's such an allusion to time travel in the show.

zephyrcat · 26/05/2007 22:39

So what became of the ship that the woman came from and her revolution that their plane had been found and they were all dead?
