I don't think the boy's father really has a reason to beat Connie up. His wife is the one who has wronged him.

Connies's manner has pissed off so many people in the past though. If they are stringing it out for 10 weeks it isn't Ernest's daughter though.

Maybe it was the little boy’s mother - she was really odd,

Maybe she blamed Connie for the truth coming out....

I thought the ending was a bit too violent - it just made me feel uncomfortable.

What happened to the mother from Grace's school? The one who drove Connie and Grace off the road? Could she be back?

I wonder, if we look back at previous episodes, if there's a long line of people with a grudge. That we don't find out for another ten episodes 'whodunnit' would suggest that the most obvious potential 'perp' isn't necessarily going to be the correct guess?

It could be someone from Connie's past but surely someone who has made an appearance (although it could have been very fleeting) relatively recently?

Pretty sure the woman who ran Connie off the road was last seen being escorted off by the police which in tv land means she’s now safely behind bars.

Who has been shown to have a very short fuse/nasty temper? Connie was repeatedly kicked suggesting someone out of control?

Maybe we'll get some flashbacks in the coming weeks? To help us!

Ian, he’s been known to lose his rag lately
Elle, as she doesn’t like Connie being back
Um.....Duffy, having a forgetful episode

See to me it's not right that this is a whodunnit thing it would have worked better as Ernest's daughter

After all, surely she would just tell staff and police who did it?!

Even if she didn’t see the face because the my had a balaclava on or something Connie would still be able to describe their body frame/shape.....or anything else that could help identify who it was?

Or are we supposed to be Kiev’s she didn’t get a glimpse at all of who did it?

She was attacked from behind though so wouldn't necessarily have seen who attacked her?

It looked to me like she was attacked from the front because sfs went falling down the stairs like she’d been pushed?

There was a scene where just before she fell she appared to have a scared/shocked expression on her face as if she saw what was about to happen, I.e saw someone coming at her?

The way she was staring at the end, at the very least she's in coma I think. It will be a while before she gives a statement.

Just watched the end again on iPlayer and she definitely looks at her attacker.

She will no doubt have a bad head injury and internal injuries... I wonder if her hospitalisation (and yes, most likely in a coma) will mean her daughter may make an appearance? —doubtful—

QueenofmyPrinces - are you me because I just did the same and agree that she definitely does see her attacker face on initially. A brutal attack :-(.

I wonder if she'll be in a coma for 10 weeks and then wake up and name her attacker and that's how they are going to spin it out

Just read two crossover episodes coming in March. Starting Saturday 1st on Casualty and concluding Tuesday 5th on Holby

How about Dom's mother? She suddenly made an appearance in this week. HasConnie ever said something mean about Dom?

It struck me as a "I want her dead" type of attack (the repeated blows). Such frenzy would either suggest it's personal or someone psychotic. I guess the crossover episodes might cover Connie being treated by some of the Holby City colleagues?

Maybe read the blurb about the crossover episode I won’t mention details as it may be classed as a spoiler.
