IIRC Duffy used to be a warm, competent and cheerful nurse - sort of Head Girl of A&E. Since she's been back she's been very odd, and she's the last person in the world I could imagine having a ONS! She's old enough to know her capacity for alcohol, so I'm not sure she can entirely blame the encounter on drink.

HettySunshine · 28/10/2018 18:55

I still miss Max and Zoe. I wish they'd come back.

QueenofmyPrinces · 28/10/2018 22:30

Just caught up....

I don’t quite know what the scriptwriters have done to Duffy - she’s about a million miles away from the character she used to be. I think she also looks quite ill? She seems to look thinner with each episode. Her acting skills are appalling.

Charlie knows she had a ONS doesn’t he? He can tell.....that’s the impression I got anyway.

I’m glad for Gem and Rash but I wish they’d have made it into the ball. His declaration of his feelings would have been so much better if done in front of a huge glitzy crowd as opposed to in the middle of a grotty cafe. How did he even know she was in there anyway??

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/10/2018 02:45

@QueenofmyPrinces she is ill isn't she? Hasn't she had secret medical appointments or did I totally make that up?

HettySunshine · 29/10/2018 05:38

I think she's been diagnosed with depression.

StripySocksAndDocs · 29/10/2018 06:10

Charlie know she intentionally went to that particular hotel and didn't just happen upon it. So he knows she's lying. Not sure he's thinking ONS just yet.

Aye. I can't stand Louise.

HettySunshine
Agreed. Loved Zoe so much used to wonder if I had a girl crush.

PiggeryPorcombe · 29/10/2018 07:25

He knows she was in a pub and then went to the hotel so he must have suspicions re ONS.

Yes I just went into iPlayer and did a screenshot and dh and I actually disagreed about the map when we watched it Blush

HettySunshine · 29/10/2018 07:44

It was a 15 minute drive too so not just round the corner, plenty of time to come to her senses.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/10/2018 02:32

The fact she deleted texts and liked for the hotel - Charlie will know she had a ons

Poor Charlie.

I don’t like that new senior doc. The one who wanted gems bloke

Glad he finally saw sense tho admitting he was a virgin in a cafe yet couldn’t tell her in the bedroom seems silly

Great drug explosion

luckycat007 · 30/10/2018 22:22

More Dylan, bring back Zoe, more Connie please. Max drove me nuts though but I'd put up with him to have Zoe in it again.

Begone Rash, Duffy, Roo-Beh and the insufferable Blake! Argh!

I've never really minded Jacob although I know a few folk CBA with him.

Redglitter · 30/10/2018 22:26

I can't stand Dylan. The episode about him the other week was the worst ever. The only thing which salvaged it was Sharon Bless.

The old series on Sky just reinforces how bad the current series is. Far too much based on the staff personal lives & not the patients

purpleme12 · 30/10/2018 22:44

Roo-beh 😂😂

MrsMoastyToasty · 30/10/2018 22:45

piggery that's a map of Bristol if I'm not mistaken. It'd take a darn sight longer than 15 minutes to do that journey.

siakcaci · 30/10/2018 23:47

It's set in Bristol though

AnotherOriginalUsername · 31/10/2018 01:21

It's set in Bristol but is now filmed in Cardiff. In some street scenes you can notice the road signs where they have covered up the Welsh 😂

INeedNewShoes · 31/10/2018 01:46

in fact I was quite convinced that the scene where he walked into to lab (first one; where he was bringing in the acid) that we'd seen this exact scene before.

Me too. It was so similar to a previous episode down to the layout of the space, where the door was etc.

luckycat007 · 02/11/2018 00:24

Caught up. Base is still annoying. What was Duffy thinking? Iain getting increasingly annoying, Rash less so. Liked how he went to the party with Gem. I really like Jan, Roo-Beh her usual annoying goody goody self. It wasn't the most exciting episode though but not terrible..

Karting1967 · 03/11/2018 23:45

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any duller...

Miscible · 04/11/2018 00:21

I thought this week's was better - not least because, on the whole, it wasn't so exclusively focussed on the staff's problems.

purpleme12 · 04/11/2018 01:43

I thought the doctor on maternity was really good looking and want to see more of him

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 04/11/2018 08:14

Agreed purple!!

SoupDragon · 04/11/2018 08:16

He is played by Gareth David-Lloyd who was Ianto in Torchwood/Dr
Who (as well as a couple of other people in Casualty and it seems!) I knew I recognised him from somewhere.

alwayswingingit · 04/11/2018 19:41

Worst episode in a long time, struggling to get through it. What's with the music that is being added to scenes? Louise dipping in to the maternity ward and performing a throat surgery?!?!? The lady who had the baby, none of her family seem shocked that she had her throat cut open?!?! Something about the filming or camera used seems different as well

purpleme12 · 04/11/2018 19:51

It was supposed to be one of those slightly unusual episodes they do every so often I think
