Louise was a nurse before being a receptionist though.

I don't t think she was. Not in casualty. When they moved her from reception to nurse I'm sure there was a backstory about it

Yes, the backstory was that she used to be a nurse.

Wasn’t she a nurse and one of her patients died an she felt responsible and quit nursing or something like that?

Louise was a nurse at another hospital and had a pregnant, alcoholic patient who lost her baby which Louise felt responsible for so quit nursing.

The patient turned up at the a&e looking pregnant (and I think let Louise think she was expecting) but it was actually severe bloating caused by alcohol misuse.

I think she died but it was the epiphany that Louise needed and she turned up as a nurse the next day. As always happened in Casualty no interviews, references or checks of any kind were required.

Let alone the fact that in the real world she may have had to do a Return to Nursing course if she hadn’t been doing clinical practice for a while.....

Didn't she work with Jacob in a different hospital I seem to remember a scene where he was telling her she was a good nurse what happened wasn't her fault and he was surprised to see her on reception

Also liked how there was absolutely NO staff in the swimming pool after a guest was in need if emergency attendance. Money short for extras?

I'm just watching now. Yes drug labs do always blow up - in fact I was quite convinced that the scene where he walked into to lab (first one; where he was bringing in the acid) that we'd seen this exact scene before.

Oh Duffy! I thought she had been in love with Charlie forever. That bag of ugliness she slept with seemed very out of character. Seemed like Ian considered staying in the fire. He's obviously not fine. 😒

Duh, everything blows up in Casualty! My personal favourites are the very minor RTCs that explode into huge predictable fireballs

I have never understood why everyone likes Duffy. She has always been a popular character but the standard of acting is appalling. I did think she and Charlie would be a forever couple though 

Yes she's not the best! I don't find myself caring about it like I might do others. But I think it's a rather odd storyline that she did this

Yes I thought I'd seen the chemical scene before.

Duffy, Robyn,Charlie, Louise and Elle all need chopping up, putting in a pie and being fed to zombies!
