Too many spoilers? Fair enough Smile

SoupDragon · 07/10/2018 16:12

I just prefer to watch programmes “blind” so to speak. Sometimes the trailers give far too much a way or leave you waiting for a certain scene to happen.

I also loath the “next week...” bits they put at the end of certain programmes,

purpleme12 · 07/10/2018 19:40

Mmmm I'm not convinced there'll be an Ian and Ruby romance

So annoyed at the Gem and Rash it's one of those storylines that can so easily be cleared up but it'll go on forever and you'll be getting so frustrated with it!!

Optimist1 · 07/10/2018 20:05

I didn't quite get what the issue was with Gem and Rash (but was very impressed that having negotiated swapping rooms with Ruby whilst they were at work during the day, Gem's room was fully furnished including swathes of fairy lights by the time Rash appeared!).

purpleme12 · 07/10/2018 20:13

Rash is a virgin so he was nervous about having sex for the first time and when he gets nervous he's sick. Of course Gem doesn't know this so thinks it's about her and Rash doesn't want to tell her!

Optimist1 · 08/10/2018 09:17

Thanks, purple

I was quite disturbed by it actually. Medication with possibly harmful side effects should never ever be given without consent. It's terrifying that that is a possibility and, to me, proves that Jacob's mum's fear was justified.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2018 12:15

Finally caught up

Missed the freezer bit tho. Did the boy play in it and that’s how he died?

Nice of mum to say to preg neighbor make a hi abs 2nd chance

I’m assuming after their son died he then had an affair with neighbour

Yes ruby is better in this then EE. And prob will kiss IAN

Jacobs mum. Was she in eastenders. I recognise her

QueenofmyPrinces · 09/10/2018 12:18

He was playing hide and seek with his mum and got in the freezer so I can only assume when she couldn’t find him she assumed he’d gone outside and a police hunt took place or something when all the time he was trapped in the freezer at home Sad

I also recognise Jacob’s mom. And to Jacob’s credit, it was nine to see him do some actual acting that gave him some character.

Optimist1 · 09/10/2018 12:36

Yes, Ellen Thomas (Jacob's mum) was in EE playing Claudette of the Impressive Bosom!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2018 13:00

Course she was Claudette of massive Bosum 😂😂

TheZeppo · 13/10/2018 21:21

Seeking this thread out to say:
No WAY would a consultant in the ER wear such a beautiful white shirt!

rosy71 · 13/10/2018 21:29

Wasn't Jacob's mum in an episode of doctor who were she was also on a bus hearing voices? She predicted David tennant 's regeneration.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 13/10/2018 21:29

And in no world other than casualty land would any surgeon drill into someone's head with a dirty black and decker (or was it a Stanley?) drill Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2018 22:22

White shirt and always high heels. Connie and the other female consultant who got married /in a fire

And yes drilling into a brain in a pub with a drill

Lucky the pub had a Cordless drill

Was sad that he made his dad poorly and drunk after 100+ days and ring his dads gf up and grass him up

I used to like Dylan and his morals

zukiecat · 13/10/2018 23:09

Why couldn't Dylan just have gone to the US with Zsa Zsa

He puts me off watching Casualty

Really boring episode tonight, I can't stand him and don't care about all his troubles

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 13/10/2018 23:15

I am a bit of a continuity stickler and Dylan's beard was setting my teeth on edge which shows how boring tonight's episode was

Volant · 14/10/2018 01:10

Agreed - Dylan is usually my favourite character but tonight's episode was pretty dreadful.

Hogtini · 14/10/2018 05:34

Awful episode. Really took the biscuit with the ole suspension of reality.

TubbsAndEdward · 14/10/2018 07:31

I'm new to watching this (since the big ambulance crash).

Can anyone tell me who is Zsa Zsa and what's her relationship to Dylan ?

I enjoyed last night's episode even though it was a bit OTT !

SoupDragon · 14/10/2018 08:42

She was Dylan’s mentor.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 14/10/2018 08:43

And in no world other than casualty land would any surgeon drill into someone's head with a dirty black and decker.

....And then just waltz off into the sunset with no paperwork.

What was the landlord thinking? Serving someone who is already drunk; witnessing an argument; then leaving the drunk one to call the ambulance; then handing over a bottle of vodka and a drill to a woman they have never met before so that they can drill a hole into a customers head on the bar room floor. I’d have been calling the police!

ADarkandStormyKnight · 14/10/2018 08:48

Dylan was horrible to his dad but I’m a bit sympathetic. If his childhood really was dreadful then having the person who wrecked it by choosing booze every single time they should have been there for you turning up to do ‘the steps’ while you are at your lowest ebb would be pretty much the last straw.

JustDanceAddict · 14/10/2018 11:13

I was also saying to dh ‘this would never happen irl’ was ridix re the drill. And I though Dylan was horrible this week making his dad drink. Obv he is fucked up but that was awful.
I felt bad for Dervla and I don’t even like dogs!

TubbsAndEdward · 14/10/2018 15:23
