I like Ruby, Queen. If I was a paramedic I'd definitely be more of a Ruby than an Ian. (And I liked Nancy in EE, when she played that role)

ISaySteadyOn · 01/10/2018 10:40

I like Ruby too. She's doing her best. I will be really interested to see the dynamic between her, Gemma, and Alicia.

Gersemi · 01/10/2018 10:49

I don't get the "Duffy has depression" storyline coming out of the blue. Surely logically we should have seen some build-up to it?

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 01/10/2018 11:00

Each week Gemma pops up I hate her even more. She just doesn't seem to blend well with the rest of the cast.

Ruby I'm just loving! She's a great insight to the world of the paramedics and the challenges they face. It's like we're learning with her.

purpleme12 · 01/10/2018 12:07

I like Ruby too. I also don't get the depression thing. It's out of the blue. My first thought was actually that they'd go on to say they'd made a mistake and it's a physical thing in a week in the future

Hogtini · 01/10/2018 14:21

I like Ruby too, she's just trying to do her best. Glad Ian is being nicer with her, she didn't deserve that treatment.
Duffy having her spin out was so cringey, just didn't wash at all.
I agree with pp, v unprofessional of them to tell Louise she was the only candidate and her attitude stinks.
The storyline with the little boy was really touching, very well played by the mother.

MissEliza · 01/10/2018 14:58

I don't remember Duffy being such an awful actress when she was in it first time round.

Optimist1 · 01/10/2018 15:12

When Duffy was in it before she was quite animated, wasn't she? Now she hardly moves, rarely smiles and is just generally wooden although if I was married to Charlie I expect I would look like that too .

spiderlight · 01/10/2018 15:19

Remember Duffy's incredibly broad Bristol/West Country accent right at the very start of Casualty? That was awful.

maddiemookins16mum · 01/10/2018 18:42

I just want Ruby’s hair 😁

luckycat007 · 01/10/2018 23:21

Damn Duffy took the biscuit with the shit acting this week 🤣

Ruby is still annoying

I hope Gem isn't paying much for that room!

I was sad for Elijahs mum 😢

MrsBosh · 04/10/2018 08:52

Just watched last week's on iPlayer.

Fab storyline about Elijah and his mum. Like a PP I fastforwarded through him getting in freezer as I knew it would be too upsetting.

That Jamila 'consultant' looked about 26. As if she would be a consultant so young, I thought she was joking! And why doesn't Rash just stand up to her?

Ever since Alicia decided in about ten minutes she wanted to specialise in paeds (despite being an ED reg Hmm) she seems to be treating all the kids and on the kids' wards... with Connie and Ethan.

Wanted to laugh at Charlie and Duffy's 'acting'. They are both terrible - why can't the producers/directors see it?!

purpleme12 · 04/10/2018 09:18

Rash doesn't stand up to her cos he's not very good at that sort of thing. Some people aren't

MissEliza · 04/10/2018 13:04

Jamila being a consultant is an absolute joke. She can't be older than late 20s.

MrsBosh · 04/10/2018 17:30

Of course purpleme Smile sorry if I offended you. I avoid confrontation like the plague! Especially with someone like Jamila - too intimidating!
I was just trying to make the point that they were presumably signposting into a storyline of her blackmailing Rash about his relationship and Rash and Gem breaking up. I may be a bit overinvested in him as I have a little crush on Rash. Loved his glasses Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2018 15:07

Behind as on holiday

Queenofthedrivensnow · 06/10/2018 15:24

Cried my eyes out through casualty today, I really felt for Jacob and his mum. My oh has MS so that storyline was a little too close to home.

MrsBosh · 06/10/2018 22:44

Sorry to hear thst jmh740.

Really enjoyed today's episode. The little boy carer acted brilliantly. I loved how protective of his dad he was.

Loved Ruby standing up to their boss too!

QueenofmyPrinces · 06/10/2018 23:11

Can anyone else see a Ruby and Iain romance forming?

MrsBosh · 07/10/2018 14:56

Ooh, interesting Queen! I'd not thought that... I certainly like Ruby more than Smug Sam Blush

In her first episode I'd thought that her and Dylan would work. Where is Dylan btw?!

Butterfly005 · 07/10/2018 15:31

He'll be back - have you not seen the Autumn trailer? Was released on Friday.

SoupDragon · 07/10/2018 15:43

I don’t watch the trailers if I can avoid them.
