Good God... how did they win best soap? The best soap is Molten Brown. Fact. (Lime and Patchouli, specifically!) What with dozy Rosie, booed Jude and airy-fairy Rosemary... think we'll all be reaching for the remote control by the time Jude has emerged from his kennel!

Has Jenny done anything that actually bad? I thought she had been generally fine? Obvs she didn't get on with Aiden some of the time when he was alive, but i don't think she's done anything wrong?

ellenanora5 · 15/06/2018 20:25

How can Alya just change the locks and take over the factory before the will is even read to the family, that's nonsense isn't it?

crazycatgal · 15/06/2018 20:52

@WolfMcWolferson she went behind Johnny's back contesting Aidan's will.

WolfMcWolferson · 15/06/2018 20:56

Yeah but so did Carla and Michelle and Kate right?

blackbunny · 15/06/2018 21:02

So, who's now in the running for taking over the Rovers?

drearydeardre · 15/06/2018 21:08

my reaction this evening - thank goodness they have SPEEDILY cleared up some of the story lines.

BollywoodQueenie · 15/06/2018 21:09

Is the actress who plays Moira pregnant?

VanGoghsDog · 15/06/2018 21:48

Wills don't get read to the family, that is a fictional dramatic invention.

Clawdy · 15/06/2018 22:18

Even Alya would have known she could not sack Fizz just like that. Ridiculous.

Hygge · 15/06/2018 22:39

I have an idea about what might happen next with Eva and the baby but I don't want to risk a potential spoiler.

Can we share ideas?

Redglitter · 15/06/2018 23:17

If it's just ideas and speculation I can't see why thatd be a spoiler

Eastie77 · 15/06/2018 23:18

I assume Kate and Johnny will lose their shit when they find out about the baby, blame Eva for everything, more shouting in the Rovers etc.

Thank goodness the Toyah and Peter circus is over. The world's least convincing couple. Please put Liz back in charge.

walnutwood · 15/06/2018 23:27

Errr... if Kate overheard Eva talking about the ring then she definitely must have heard Eva referring to the baby’s mummy and daddy!!!

ellenanora5 · 16/06/2018 01:24

VanGoghsDog, ah ye I know that really I just meant before it was all official, although maybe it is, but it seems odd that she can just take over so quickly.

Clionba · 16/06/2018 06:42

I agree about Peter and Toyah. Steve and Liz should take over the Rovers
Simon's going to have even less respect for Eva now. I'm exhausted just looking at how much that actress cries, she must be dehydrated.

Karting1967 · 16/06/2018 08:40

Regarding Aidan's will, the estate can't be distributed before probate is granted so Alya can't just change the locks and then the factory be ones hers. But Corrie don't let the facts get in the way of a storyline do they.

I'm sick of Adam and Imran popping up for any legal matter from employment law to murder.

cloudyweewee · 16/06/2018 08:57

As far as I'm concerned Imran and Adam can pop up any time they like!

Frillyfarmer · 16/06/2018 10:38

I’m fairly sure there would be a conflict of interest with Adam and imran practicing in the same firm on two sides of Aidens will - don’t think you can a Chinese Wall up in the same office?

The Aiden/Eva/Baby Susie emotion has got to me, I think it’s a really moving story. I hope she takes baby Susie and leaves the street now, but I can see some mad factually inaccurate custody battle with Johnny directing all of his anger at poor Eva.

The druggy mother Just winds me up, is Eileen just going to accept that her house is not let out?!

Hygge · 16/06/2018 10:44

"If it's just ideas and speculation I can't see why thatd be a spoiler."

Okay, that's good. I think that now Peter knows and Eva has accepted Suzy back, and especially now Leanne has made her feel guilty about the Connors, Eva will tell them the truth.

And I think they will lash out at her and blame her for Aiden's death, and say if she'd told him about Suzy he would never have killed himself.

And as a consequence of that, one of them will go for custody of the baby, and I think that will be Johnny. But to do so, he'll need Jenny rather than Liz.

He's not going to be able to present himself as stable guardian if he's split up with his wife days after his son's funeral and moved on to another woman.

Both Liz and Jenny are going to be hurt by this, particularly poor Jenny who I've never been fond of before but who I have warmed to since Aidan died and she's been trying to support Johnny.

I had thought she married him for the money and status (bosses wife etc) but she seems to genuinely love and care for him and he now seems to just have seen her as a trophy wife with no substance.

I think Jenny will be all for taking custody but the affair with Liz will come out, their marriage will be over, and Eva will leave with the baby having won the case.

Adam and Imran will obviously be lawyer's for both parties. Adam most likely for the Connor's because he's working with them already and he might want to lash out at Eva for deceiving him but he'll have a hard time over it because he loved her, Imran for Eva because there are no other lawyers in Manchester.

Mc180768 · 16/06/2018 11:12

Great speculation there, Hygge.

I like that Liz did the right thing with Johnny despite the night before's joining of loins. What's happened to Mick from Brookside boyfriend?

The whole baby storyline was far fetched in all honesty, but the fallout has been done quite well. Leanne was grounded in her delivery and put the baby first. Quite impressed with her performance.

Love Moira. She cracks me up. She does look like she's expecting.

Eileen will be back.

greenlavender · 16/06/2018 11:53

Didn't Sally and Jenny fall out over how Jenny treated Rita when Rita was with Alan, Jenny's Dad?

walnutwood · 16/06/2018 12:01

DH also predicts a custody battle from Johnny - but surely in real life this would just not go anywhere?!? A grandparent wouldn't be awarded custody over the mother, it's an absolute non-starter. Surely??!

kikashi · 16/06/2018 12:46

I agree walnut For a start Johnny has MS (which seems to have been forgotten about) and Jenny has served time for child abduction (of Jack).

WolfMcWolferson · 16/06/2018 12:56

Love Moira. She cracks me up. She does look like she's expecting. *

Louiza Patikas has just come back full time from Feb according to Wikipedia, and is 42, so not beyond the realms of possibility but seems unlikely.

Eastie77 · 16/06/2018 14:32

@Hygge I agree with most of your speculation but I think Adam would support Eva because he still loves her. Imran has already taken Alia's side against the Conners so I'm not sure who they will employ to legally represent them because as you say he the only and hottest other lawyer in WeatherfieldGrin Johnny's health issues will be completely forgotten I'm sure.

It is ludicrous the way the two of them appear in any legal situation though. Fizz gets the sack and 5 mins later here's Adam accompanying her back into Underworld to read Alia the letter of the law. What do the pair of them actually specialise in? They have now dealt with murder, probate, assault and employment law.

I'm afraid the baby Susie storyline left me quite unmoved, mainly because of Toyah's constant handwringing and atrocious acting. I actually think she is a good actress and they could have done so much more with her character (liked her blossoming friendship with Angie) if they hadn't given her a silly storyline that totally defied belief.
