Thought I'd start a new one as we're not far off and there'll be much to talk about this week, I I fear.

I'm utterly confused by everything at the moment. It doesn't help by having it on every night (at the wrong time) this week.

Yes, how Gary gets employed in private security is a puzzler. Johnny getting emotional holding the baby was surely a way for Eva to intervene. I wondered about the bistro having a licence. I'm always intrigued at the random assortment of street characters that turn up to weddings.

Is Eva gone on maternity leave in real life maybe.

I can't believe that Sarah while having a phone in her hand at all times didn't just ring 999, but no she spends her time screaming "Gary don't Gary no".

I hope Kevin does away with the pair of them after them telling Jack to keep it a secret.

I thought Robert said he was going to stay with Caroline (who ever she is)

He first turned up at Deirdres funeral I think.

How come the factory is closed anyway, why is no one working there.

I assume so. They haven’t actually explained her absence though. Did she just go back to America?

I thought Eva was still living in the pub along with Leanne and Simon et al. Having ditched The US story due to Aiden's death. I hate the way the writers have too much going on these days and then drop storylines to resolve a few others and then pick up later - destroys the impact of the narrative.

They need to simplify. There was no need for the ridiculous Gary kidnap - Phelan could have returned to Street to get revenge on Eileen all on his own (and perhaps kidnap Nicola's baby). Have Aiden's funeral quickly- no need for the superfluous wedding story line that seems to have lasted weeks.

In Classic Corrie we atm we have the aftermath of Brian's stabbing, Alan Bradley turning to the dark side and Mavis and Derek having a dinner party for light relief - that's enough. they follow the story through whilst having some scenes to set up behaviour/situations for the future. It's not rocket science. Calm down writers/producers! Robert seems to have had testicular cancer, an addiction to steroids, a heart attack and a failed wedding since Xmas - ridiculous!

It’s ridiculous that Michelle and Robert would go ahead with the wedding before Aiden was even buried. They just wouldn’t. The wedding would be postponed.

Will there have to be an inquest following Aidan's suicide?

I assumed that was why there was a delay?

Isn't Eva still living in the cottage? Although that must be costing Toyah a lot, or did she return to the pub? Is Rana living with Kate?

Eva's still at the pub I think, although we haven't seen her.
She's not pregnant in "real life" so not on maternity leave.

What's happened with Jude? Haven't seen him fir a while.

And do you think continuity got it wrong when Kev/Tyrone hired Seb's Mum as mechanic before Josh left? It's as if they read the upcoming scripts!

Don't sometimes characters 'lie low' before quite a large storyline/ screen time?

It's just too much to keep up with!

And where will they go for that hour that they're not allowed to serve drinks after a ceremony?

I have been enjoying it lately but last night was terrible. As pp said, phelan could have come to the street himself, no need for all that implausible nonsense. The model rooting in a press in a stranger's home just so she could upset some flour? to give Rosie an idea, daft. Why not just have Rosie realize that she still liked Antoine and sail off into the sunset with him, or even simpler, get offered a job abroad after the
shoot. And Robert pissing off without even speaking to Michelle is just ridiculous, she has been through a lot with him the least he could do is talk to her. I really hope tonight is better. couldnt be much worse

@WhatMakesYouHappy - it was a thing when I got married in 2001.

We had a hotel venue and we weren't allowed to have drinks served in the same room as the ceremony for an hour afterwards.

Luckily the hotel had more than one room for us to use, we actually had a ceremony room, a drinks reception room, and the room we had our meal in, so it didn't affect our guests.

But it might have affected the Bistro which is just one room for everything. If it's still a thing now.

I don't think the actress who plays Eva is pregnant in real life, so I don't think she will be on maternity leave.

More likely they've just dropped that storyline for a short time, but it's weird and annoying that they make it such a big thing and then ignored it for weeks.

This was the perfect time for Leanne to be getting suspicious and Eva to be wanting her back, made worse by feeling guilty about keeping the baby from Johnny.

I agree Hygge and it's frustrating when these kind of storylines go dormant. I wish they would deal with a story well, have another one simmering, and possibly something lighthearted. The whole Eva /baby thing needs to be dealt with.
