Thought I'd start a new one as we're not far off and there'll be much to talk about this week, I I fear.

OP posts:
Honeyroar · 30/05/2018 22:30

It just irritated me. If Jack had squeezed through, Sarah would have, or Gary could have legged her up over the fence, or she could have rung 999 on her mobile while they ran outside and before Phelan appeared with a gun. Just annoying! It's not like they didn't know what Phelan is like.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 30/05/2018 22:40

They’re a pair of idiots. Honestly, if they ever have a child it better get Sarah’s looks because it will have no brains to trade on.

LoveMySituation · 30/05/2018 23:10

Phelan really is the bionic man isn't he. Will nothing kill him Wink

Honeyroar · 30/05/2018 23:52

He's like a Weeble (if you're old enough to remember them!). He wobbles but he doesn't fall down. Or the terminator!

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 31/05/2018 00:15

Jack wanting to buy his dad some socks for Fathers' Day! HaloGrin

ChevalierTialys · 31/05/2018 07:55

When you tie someone's hands with a cable tie, you have to put a tie around the middle of it between the hands. Gary was putting the middle one on but stopped before he'd tightened it to go and row with Sarah about the whole thing. He must have know he was leaving Phelan unsecured, if he knows how to use cable ties to ties someone's hands he has to know how essential the middle bit is. It was all very stupid tbh

MyGuideJools · 31/05/2018 08:34

chervalier I didn't know that about cable ties!! I will remember that next time I'm tying someone upGrin

Clionba · 31/05/2018 08:55

Also we need to ensure that we lock the door to our prisons as well, to stop local children being bribed to free our captives Confused
So Robert did a runner, in his wedding suit and with a tiny bag. Should keep him going for a couple of months.

ShowerGel9 · 31/05/2018 09:11

What's with all the random stuff with rosie and that model randomly?

Clionba · 31/05/2018 09:24

No idea, Showergel, but the model opening the cupboard and spilling something was so badly acted I actually cringed.
Why are they modelling in the knicker factory if no one is wearing the merchandise? (I know Rosie is 7 months pregnant but let's make a storyline plausible - - or is that too late?)

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 31/05/2018 09:28

I’m assuming the ridiculous modelling/drugs storyline is to create Rosie’s exit.

But yes, let’s hold a modelling shoot in a knicker factory- but just wear normal clothes, that don’t even relate to a theme or to each other. Oh and we’ll all do 12 year old duck face pout like we aren’t professional models.

Clawdy · 31/05/2018 09:32

Michelle's dress and hair were awful. Kate and Carla looked so much better than the bride.

ajandjjmum · 31/05/2018 09:34

I'm impressed with Zee - having left the street just a matter of days ago, he's already set up in London so that Robert can go and stay with him. Really?

I just want Phelan dead.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 31/05/2018 09:36

Where was Robert before he came to the street? Are we really to believe he knows no-one outside the cobbles other than his former employee who left last week?

Clionba · 31/05/2018 09:37

Yes, I thought that about Zee. He obviously has a property and a business already.

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 31/05/2018 09:43

"Pffff" moment - Rosie telling the other model she was being used as a "donkey" and being corrected by Gemma! Grin. Agree it's a daft storyline, though. It would have been more credible if the shoot had been held somewhere else in Manchester, not a knicker factory on Rosie's doorstep!

eddiemairswife · 31/05/2018 09:52

I think Robert worked in or had his own restaurant. Can't remember what brought him to Weatherfield.

WhatMakesYouHappy · 31/05/2018 10:06

That wedding dress is from Monsoon! I'd been eyeing it!

ajandjjmum · 31/05/2018 10:10

Wasn't it the breakdown of his marriage eddie (the one after Tracey) - I think he ran a restaurant with his wife?

cloudyweewee · 31/05/2018 10:54

Yes, he did. She was a very bad actor from Girl's Aloud as I recall. He had a fling with Tracy (they'd previously been married) which brought him to t'cobbles.

Hygge · 31/05/2018 11:09

Robert saw Steve kiss Michelle but walked out just before Michelle shoved Steve away, so he missed her slap Steve as well.

I have no idea why Robert and Daniel have spent hours all dressed up and roaming the cobbles though. They've managed to get dressed, track down Ryan (nobody would have cared if he had stayed missing), come back, wander about a bit, go to the pub, see Steve kiss Michelle and realise Flora is not as daft as she seems, wander about a bit more, pack a bag, leave the Street, and all before Michelle even had her make-up on.

Surely getting ready that early just made them more likely to be hot and sweaty before the ceremony even started. In the Bistro.

They were getting married in the Bistro! Does it have a wedding licence? And where will they go for that hour that they're not allowed to serve drinks after a ceremony? The Rovers? Can they hand out free alcohol after a wedding to get around that rule?

I've decided that Pat is going to shoot himself rather than get arrested by the police and go to prison. Nicola will be lured to the builders yard, along with Seb, Eileen, and the baby, even though she's five minutes out of the operating theatre and should barely be walking at this point.

Pat will somehow get his hands on the baby, but the police will arrive thanks to Jack, and we'll hear a gun shot out of sight.

There will be a lot of screaming and running to see if he's murdered his own grandson and then we'll see Pat on the floor but the baby will be safe.

OyO · 31/05/2018 11:25

Gary, a war veteran who provides private security in the Ukraine and has killed a man, gets knocked out by a 60 year old man in a caravan, despite being armed, and then fails to tie him up properly. Yeah ok Hmm

Are these episodes still under the old producer or have we moved over to the new producer now?

Seconding the questions: where is Eva? When is Aiden’s funeral? Why is Alya so annoying?

The only good thing about Corrie right now is David - and I never thought I’d say that.

Hygge · 31/05/2018 11:31

Not seeing Eva is weird.

I've been wondering about that. I was hoping that Johnny being invited back and seeing him holding the baby would be the catalyst she needed to do something about the situation.

Instead, she's vanished.

And I have no idea if they've had Aiden's funeral or not.

Alya is a weasel, I'm not sure she can do a facial expression that isn't sneering.

She seemed very uncomfortable with Josh even before he told her he'd had a 'one-night stand' with David, so why was it so hard for her to listen to Shona? And why didn't Shona say it wasn't the first time Josh had raped someone? She didn't have to say who, just that they knew he'd raped another man as well.

cloudyweewee · 31/05/2018 11:33

Or maybe as the baby has Phelan's blood in its veins, it is found holding the gun and doing a wonky-mouthed smirk.

ajandjjmum · 31/05/2018 11:39

Maybe you should apply for a writing job Hygge - I like your storyline!
