Thought I'd start a new one as we're not far off and there'll be much to talk about this week, I I fear.

Agree! Bring back Norris and Liz and Eileen getting pissed in the ladies.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 16/05/2018 16:03

Remember when Emily did the sit in in a tree? Grin

EdithWeston · 16/05/2018 18:49

"Bring back corrie!!!!!!!!"

ITV3, weekdays 14:40 (repeated next weekday 06:00) for two lovely 1980s episodes. Alan is beginning to rip off Rita, Don's gambling is starting their troubles. Mavis had her first Christmas as a married woman. Sally and Kev are sweet newly-weds, Bet and Alec are -um- interesting as newlyweds too

Wingedharpy · 16/05/2018 20:53

I'm enjoying the retro Ena, Minnie and Martha vibe this evening!

EB123 · 16/05/2018 21:00

I thought Johnny and Jenny wefe very good again tonight.

Loved the old ladies too!

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 16/05/2018 21:03

How pale is summer? Shock They couldn’t have named her so incorrectly!

I was thinking that Winged, only I couldn't remember Martha's name till you posted so thanks Grin And loving the bloke(?) taking Yasmeen to a Joy Division tribute act in the Northern Quarter (maybe it was Peter Hook and the Light Grin)

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 16/05/2018 21:18

Chas and Dave! 😂😂😂

VanGoghsDog · 16/05/2018 21:21

If a solicitor had a will (and mine does not) it would probably not be legal because it would not be an officially witnessed signed one. Plus, they would have to know which sol to ask and despite the two resident solicitors being expert in every area of law, he clearly didn't use either of them!

VanGoghsDog · 16/05/2018 21:21

I saw Peter Hook and The Light last year and they were fab!

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 16/05/2018 21:25

Is it a bit odd that sophie has signed the will and not said anything either before or since Widnes death? Would she not be a bit Hmm about Aiden making a will and leaving everything to aliyah? And would she not have said to Johnnie about there being a will when she went to confess about the text?

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 16/05/2018 21:26

Windes Hmm Aiden

LoveMySituation · 16/05/2018 21:38

That's great Van, yes, I've heard them live on the radio and they are good. Much better than an actual tribute band. I wish him and Bernard would make up though.
Zibbidoo Widnes's death made me Grin

VanGoghsDog · 16/05/2018 22:06

You don't get to read a will you counter sign. All you do is witness the signature.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 16/05/2018 22:07

AHH!! Didn’t know that. So does sophie even know she was signing a will?

Optimist1 · 16/05/2018 22:36

Possibly not, Zibbidoo - personally I'd say "would you please witness my signature on my will" but I guess I could just as well say "would you please witness my signature". Reading the document is a definite no-no.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 17/05/2018 01:12

I know she is not particularly popular on here but I do have a soft spot for Rosie Webster, her shallowness and ditziness I find funny and endearing, though when push comes to shove she does look out for her family, I loved the way she gave Sally a good talking to when Carla and Michelle slated her house, I agree she would never win an Oscar but she does make me laugh and adds some much needed lightheartedness, like tonight asking Adam for a company car so she could literally chase ambulances! Her character has definitely been dumbed down though from the early days when she was a goth going off the rails and when she manipulated John Stape, was not quite so fond of her character then! I also like Michelle and Tracey.......Slinks off to fetch coat.......

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 17/05/2018 02:00

I'm enjoying the retro Ena, Minnie and Martha vibe this evening! - this, was going to say the same! Which one is Flora, though? Wink

elderlyhippo · 17/05/2018 07:54

Or, I don't think they were anywhere near quality of the female characters of yore. The re one unknown people gettingba lot of screentime, whilst not being partcukarly interesting.

We care about characters views when we 'know' them. Go weneed a few months with them speaking every episode, and others speaking anout them, before there will be even a passing resemblance to the depth of characterisation the produced the soap as it used to be.

HettySunshine · 17/05/2018 08:41

Vangogh, the solicitor would have a signed, witnessed original in their vault and Aiden would have a certified copy. There's usually a note with the copy to say where the original is stored.

I'm really enjoying the relationship between Adam, Daniel and Flora. The sugar sandwiches and Daniel's amused looks and fondness for Flora are great.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 17/05/2018 10:51

I enjoyed the sugar sandwich moment too! Grin

Housewife2010 · 17/05/2018 11:08

My 10 yr old DD has been asking for sugar sandwiches now.

OyO · 17/05/2018 11:53

I’m enjoying the Flora - Daniel - Adam set up but how it got to that point has to be up there with one of the most far fetched storylines ever.
