Thought I'd start a new one as we're not far off and there'll be much to talk about this week, I I fear.

I thought Josh's hair looked very weird at the front. And as for Aliyah, surely she'd still be too cut up about Luke to even consider shagging someone else? Or maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Yorkshirebetty · 12/05/2018 12:31

Soon everyone in the street will have a close relative that either died in tragic circumstances or was murdered. Or was a murderer.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 12/05/2018 12:32

Did anyone else get a bit excited when David called Becky? I love Becky. I would love to see her back. Stirring up shit for Tracey and Steve. Grin

Yorkshirebetty · 12/05/2018 12:37

Ooh yes! I want Becky back, chewing her gum and calling Roy "Royston"! She'd sort out some of the nonsense.

eddiemairswife · 12/05/2018 13:43

None of the younger female characters have the spark that Becky had. Aliyah and Kate are just there to be decorative; Sophie is a boring do-gooder, and I just can't take to Shona.

I wonder when the Phelan story will kick in again; surely Nicola is due to give birth soon.

bringbacksideburns · 12/05/2018 14:52

I suppose they are thinking Gemma could fill the shoes of Becky? But characters like Becky and Suranne Jones could really act.

Big storylines show up the shit actors and the best ones
I cannot bear Fizz.
Eva and Johnny have been brilliant.

Someone mentioned earlier about how thin Audrey is. She really is . Worryingly so. Was in a hair salon with her years ago and thinking how skinny was.

I do miss Norris. We need some real comedy.

I'd forgotten about Gemma; she hasn't been on recently, but I think she has the potential to be a very good character. The trouble with such a large cast is that some people aren't seen for weeks on end, especially when there is a major story happening.

Hygge · 12/05/2018 15:08

You can tell the scriptwriters are building up to getting Liz and Johnny together at some point. With all the subtlety of an angry bird being launched by catapult at a pig.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 12/05/2018 15:08

I’d forgotten all about Nicola and the baby!

And yes, where are all the others?

It would be interesting if Aiden left the factory to Eva and her baby.

If there is an issue about who gets the factory, surely Eva's baby will have a strong claim on it.

Maybe Phelan will come back to deliver Nicola's baby, they like to keep deliveries in the family just lately.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 12/05/2018 17:17

I’m a bit worried for Eva tbh. The way Johnnie is so focussed on there being a reason for Aiden’s suicide. He seems determined to find blame. I can imagine the guilt being too much for Eva and her coming clean then coming under fire from the entire Connor clan.

supersop60 · 12/05/2018 17:31

Another one here worried about Audrey's legs. I watched 'the' episode with my DD, who is recovering from depression and has had suicidal thoughts. My heart leapt when she said "I'm so glad I don't feel like that anymore."
Only last week, a colleague (who worked in the room next to mine) committed suicide. He was always smiling, and one would never have known anything was wrong.

kikashi · 12/05/2018 17:43

I'm worried for Nicola with Phelan lurking around. Hygge you could be right - he'll deliver the baby and/or run off with it.

qazxc · 12/05/2018 19:18

Surely if Eva comes clean about baby and Aiden hasn't done a will. The baby would be entitled to a share of the factory when probate goes through.

Farahilda · 12/05/2018 19:51

Yes, if no will then children if the deceased are at the top of the queue (when deceased has no spouse). But as he wasn't on the birth certificate, paternity would have to be established in court (on basis of a DNA test).

Of course, for all we know so far, he has left a will. Because he did do a number of pre-death admin things, such as passing on items such as his watch, and making forms of farewell. so leaving challenge on Susie's behalf aside, who would he leave it to? Has to be either Aaliyah or Carla, I guess

Yorkshirebetty · 12/05/2018 20:07

Please tell me he hasn't left it to the ghastly Summer.

HettySunshine · 12/05/2018 20:10

I know who inherits the factory and have posted it on the spoiler thread. That's all I'll say.

OP posts:
SumAndSubstance · 12/05/2018 20:29

Eva and the baby is not a bad call, but it would give away the secret, wouldn't it? I'm afraid my money is on the odious Alya. They put quite a lot of effort into making them bosom buddies, I thought, and the idea that she's talented etc. Don't anwer me, Hetty! Grin. I actually think Summer would be marginally better.

HettySunshine · 12/05/2018 20:40

Don't worry, I won't breath a word xx

keepondreaming · 12/05/2018 20:47

Or Sophie? They were quite friendly lately.

SumAndSubstance · 12/05/2018 21:22

I could live with Sophie, but I can't see why he would as it's not really her bag. Obviously, he should actually give it back to Carla as she only just gave it to him as a thank you for the kidney - far too logical that though. Adam would be great Grin

randomuntrainedcuntowner · 12/05/2018 22:51

@Littlebunnyboy130

So sorry for your loss. The storyline completely took me by surprise and I felt like I had been kicked in the guts because I lost my brother this way too. X
