Thought I'd start a new one as we're not far off and there'll be much to talk about this week, I I fear.

Ok so...

Jenny and Johnny have got to fall out over this, that’s what it’s building upto.

Summer obviously isn’t dealing with it so we’ve got more of her rubbish acting to endure.

The Toyah/Eva lies are getting really batshit. Who’s betting Eva just disappears with baby Susie and never comes back? And obviously when the police are called and her real birth certificate is revealed the truth will unravel.

Flora is really quite funny, liked the line about the Scots.

Yes we need a funny aul wan who can say outrageous stuff and get away with it.

When Alyah was expressing her loss she was saying she'd lost Aiden and Luke in horrendous circumstances but no mention of her dad? I'm right in thinking he was the one Lianne was in a relationship?

Yes... I think Alyah's dad died in a fire whilst rescuing Amy?

Did anyone else notice how badly Alya arranged those flowers?

Why is her hair always like that?

I hate that Gail muscles into the Platts storylines every time and Sarah’s shitty eye rolls but the David/Shona storyline is really good acting on both parts.

Is your life insurance void if you commit suicide? Wonder who Aiden has left the factory to? Beth’s selfish hinting about job security has got me thinking about who gets the factory. I would never think to be organised enough to have a will if I didn’t have babies but I wonder whether Aiden has? Have Corrie even thought about that or will it miraculously just go back to Carla/Johnny.

In the absence of a will wouldn't his next of kin be his Dad?

Well usually but there was that period after the wedding where his family disowned him. It could be a plot twist where he’s left his earthly belongings to cats protection.

Realistically know he was going to kill himself hopefully he would have got his ducks in a row but which way? If he knew what we think he might have about baby Susie maybe he left her a knicker factory?

He surely didn't have time between working out about the baby and doing the deed to have had a new, properly witnessed will written!

Most life insurance has a two year period where it is not payable in the event of suicide, after that it is (does depend though). But why would he have life insurance? I don't - no dependents no need.

What is the problem with Aliyah's hair? Seems OK to me. But, yes, flowers were horrid, I was laughing at them!

slightly off topic but the scene in the bistro with adam and the blonde lady neive (sp), does that actually happen in rl.
do people meet and start snogging within minutes of meeting these days.( i'm an old gimmer that does get out much)

Good point about Johnny's illness, he seems to be in remission. I feel sorry for Jenny when she said she'd lost a son too. Poignant.

Totally off piste, but when horrible Josh was chatting up the plank that is Aalyah, he said we can go for a coffee in that new place. You mean COSTA! That appeared overnight and doesn't employ anyone from the street?

Ha ha!! So true, he should have said let's go to Costa ! I was wondering who the first customers would be!

I thought initially he meant costa but he said “that new place on tile street” and costa is on Victoria street. Also, they walked off in the wrong direction for Victoria street.

Where does josh live? Do we know?

I was also wondering if they will find the letter Aiden posted to Johnny (and intercepted) when they are sorting through his flat.

True about the coffee shop. How will Roy survive? I wonder about that letter. Although I still don't understand why he killed himself.

I thought Jenny was going to find the letter when she started going through the boxes. I suspect it will turn up at some point and then Johnny will realise it wasn't just something after the party that triggered it.

I’ve been suicidal so many times. When trying to explain it (to myself- I never told anyone) all I could say was “it’s just everything. I’m done with everything. I can’t do it anymore. Everyone would be better off if I wasn’t here.” Life was just painful and I wasn’t making life good for my kids. It wasn’t one specific thing. It was everything. Even stuff going back years. I was just gathering every single bad thing and using it to beat myself up and prove I was a useless human being. I can only see that with hindsight though. At the time I couldn’t see it.
