How long will Joe and Robert play the one upmanship game, its tedious beyond belief.

Has Lisa gone for good and if she has I wouldn't blame her.

Will Chas and Paddy last as long as this thread, I'd be very surprised.

Moses is adorable

I was wondering if Lydia actress was pregnant IRL. I’ve been thinking she’s been wearing baggier clothes and Thursday night I thought camera angles seemed to be shit so as to avoid her belly. Maybe cancer storyline is to give her an exit?

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 04/08/2018 02:18

shot not shit! Grin

Corneliawildthing · 04/08/2018 21:21

I must have missed the scenes where Paddy acted well Confused. He always comes across as a bumbling idiot and somehow I can always tell ages ahead when something is going to go wrong when he's involved.

Smidge001 · 05/08/2018 07:58

But Paddy's meant to be a bumbling idiot Grin. I assume the actor himself isn't one, which must mean the actor acts well - (doesn't mean you have to like the character though)

bonfireheart · 05/08/2018 09:32

Paddy is great in emotional scenes particularly with Aaron - I think when the times comes for Margarita's birth him and Chas will act their socks off.

MinorRSole · 05/08/2018 20:55

Apparently paddy actor makes horror films - can't quite picture it but I'll try and have a look for some later

ellenanora5 · 06/08/2018 13:00

Him and Marlon make zombie films and run a small film festival every year MinorRSsole from what I remember.

I remember the episodes when Paddy was helping Aaron when he was stuggling with being gay, he was brilliant then, some of them were very moving very well acted.

I'm a paddy fan I'm afraid. Agree he's totally weak when it comes to women and wanting to avoid confrontation, but he seems realistic to me.

bonfireheart · 06/08/2018 18:29

I always used to think Chas & Paddy were siblings and that's why Aaron lived with him! So now I can't take them seriously as a couple.

Smidge001 · 06/08/2018 23:04

Siblings?! Grin where did you get that from? Grin. They used to date back then too, until he found out about her and Carl. . I loved her and Carl.

HettySunshine · 07/08/2018 06:22

Bob's interview Confused

Deary me.

Smidge001 · 07/08/2018 06:23

Yeah. That was ridiculous.

Jojoanna · 07/08/2018 11:37

Bob in that interview was ridiculous

bonfireheart · 07/08/2018 12:00

I only ever watch Emmerdale on and off.
Faith and her incessant need for a party is annoying- "right Dingle knees up" the woman hasn't seen the Dingles for years but seems pretty confident on what they need, especially when it's an excuse for a tedious party.

bonfireheart · 07/08/2018 12:05

I don't know who was more ridiculous in that scene, Bob or the guy interviewing him.

JaneJeffer · 07/08/2018 12:10

I was mesmerised by Bob's shirt being the same colour as the wall behind him. And that interviewer was so right-on I couldn't stand him.

QueenOfIce · 07/08/2018 12:32

Surely by now Rebecca would have lost enough weight to wriggle out of those chains? She's not eaten for 10 days or more it's not as if they're tight around her waist.

Jojoanna · 07/08/2018 13:06

Exactly ! She would have been thin enough to wriggle out ,, I wish she would bored of her kidnapping

Eastie77 · 07/08/2018 13:24

@bonfireheart my thoughts exactly. Faith has actually grown on me as a character but I think it's bizarre that she was a pariah in Dingle circles until fairly recently, hadn't seen her own kids for decades but has now assumed the role of family matriarchConfused

Haven't watched this week but seems as if Bob was in some kind of farcical job interview? When I heard him going on about resuming his door to door salesman job last week I had to laugh. Who does that in 2018?!

Smidge001 · 07/08/2018 20:44

Who is this hippy woman, and what's the point of her?

JaneJeffer · 07/08/2018 21:39

Misty. I like her. Love the Welsh accent. I could listen to her all day.

RightOnTheEdge · 08/08/2018 01:04

I wish the Rebecca/Lachlan story would hurry up and move on I'm getting really bored with it now.

I know it's better and more realistic to develop stories and characters but Emmerdale never seem to know when to stop. Like the Emma storyline they always seem to drag it on that bit too long so the audience is frustrated and so bored with it all we don't care what happens anymore.

lou1221 · 08/08/2018 09:40

@queen I have said the same thing to my dc, surely if she stripped yo her underwear, she could wriggle her way loose. Plus, had a horrible thought yesterday, she looked really hot and sweaty, where is her bucket for wees and poos? Surely she would be puking at the stench by now?

SisterNotCisTerf · 08/08/2018 10:27

Yes Theres bound to be some cooking oil or washing up liquid in one of those cupboards she could slather all over herself and slither free.

I wasn’t really paying attention last night. The last bit I saw was the children in the woods being frightened by noises. I’m guessing the noises were Rebecca screaming? Did the children run away? Or did they go and investigate? I could see April ploughing in ahead to find the ghost Grin

Obiandmillie · 08/08/2018 10:37

Good to see Bob's archaic sexist attitude called out on a prime time soap - I'd like to see more of that.

It's just a shame it was in the same episode as an appearance from Rodney and Misty: there is a 45-year age gap between those two actors in real life - he could be her grandfather. I hate seeing sleazeball men portrayed in TV with such young women - it would send a much better message if they gave him an age-appropriate partner. He's 79 years old - he'd be more appropriately matched with Pearl!

See also Rishi and the doctor he's currently harrassing wooing, who is 20 years younger than he is.
