The trailers are hinting that September will bring story lines to a head. Thank god for that.

Is it just me? Surely Priya and the client would have smelled the petrol Lachlan had liberally spread about the hut seconds before they drove up in her car and he pretended he was just jogging on by? I presume Lachlan's shower when Belle found him back home was to get rid of the stench of petrol, not smoke? Or is there now a type of odourless fuel arsonists can use in their day-jobs, that I for some reason (mainly because am not following that particular career-path myself) have not heard of?

I'm glad it will be over soon, it's getting tedious, I wonder will he kill again, he's a great actor and deserves the best villian award

Poor Rodney, I hope Nicola and Bernice feel rightly ashamed of themselves.

I can't see Rhona and Pete lasting much longer, they aren't well suited, he saw marriage the minute her divorce came through.

That's the best acting I've seen from Rodney! He's normally so dreadfully over the top.

Lachlan is so sinister. We do need him to bump off some of the more annoying characters before he gets caught.

I'm guessing Belle works it out, he confesses everything to her, tries to kill them both and the Dingles save the day.

Aww I love Rodney. He never fails to make me laugh. Can't believe the actor will be 80 in September. Very mean of his daughters to split him and Misty up. At least he would have died happy!

I really like Pete and Rhona together but I don't blame Rhona for being wary of marriage after last time

Why is it that all programmes portray the police to be sneery accusatory and unfriendly people. It gets on my pip why can't they do their homework and show that actually they aren't all arseholes who treat people with contempt.

And they weren't the proper Emmerdale uniformed and plain clothed coppers-it's always the same ones that rock up. They were blatantly imposters.

Why was Matty surprised when the girl he was dating ditched Matty when she found out Matty has a female body? What did Matty expect and why did Moira and Victoria criticize her? Would have been a deal breaker for me too. Are Victoria and Matty going to have some sort of pan sexual relationship Then have Adam return to find his wife involved with his brother that used to be his sister...

Queen, I think the police are always sneery, accusatory and unfriendly because most of the residents of Emmerdale have committed some sort of crime, whether or not convicted of their crime.

I think the Hotten police force is where all the useless cops are sent which is handy for the residents of Emmerdale as they literally get away with murder.

I'm not sure I buy the Rodney, misty, bernice and Nicola story.

And what the heck are they doing making Rodney be as shouty as the last shouty old man? It's ridiculous. I just wanted to tell him to take it down a notch. I know Nicola and Bernice interfered, but his reaction has been ridiculous. He'd have just phoned misty and told her it's nonsense (as he finally did in the end) and told his daughters they were being daft, he's no more likely to cark it in Thailand as here. But all the shouting?! Nonsense.

The writers seem to have gone a bit weird over the older people storylines of late. Laurence shouted all the time even though he started off being quite a classy bloke, back in the day when he used to talk to Edna. Then he turned into shouty man.
Diane had a complete personality change being incredibly nasty to Doug.
Bob running off with laurel never made sense.
Now they've got Rodney shouting and tantrumming like an unruly teen.

Maybe the writers are all under 21 and haven't experienced the values/behaviours of a different generation (or the same characters who've been on the show for longer than they have been watching!?)

I hope Rhona and Pete sort things out.

Nice to see Noah. He's getting tall. How many times now has Charity said she'll tell everyone about Ryan tomorrow? I really want to see all Charity's children together.

Rishi was a serious businessman and now he is just a joke character. They don't seem to know quite what to do with the Sharma's anymore. Hope we don't have another Rodney/Faith/Eric love triangle. Layla has been mentioned a few times lately - perhaps the actress is coming back soon after RL maternity leave.
