I’ve just heard that this will start in the US at the end of this month but Channel 4 haven’t said when they’ll start showing it yet.

Ohh I'm excited, didn't think this would really happen. Really curious to see where they take it.

I think there’s going to be more about Aunt Lydia and about the Marthas. I wonder whether the Marthas were sent to a centre (similar to the Red Centre) to learn how to cook and run a house? They aren’t allowed to read so would have to do all the cooking from memory, rather than recipe books. I’d be useless.

Checking in as loved the first series & book - very thought provoking & scary how close to reality it could all become.

Do you think they will re show season 1 before season 2 starts? I want to refresh my memory

They may not have time to reshape season 1 before season 2 starts (assuming that it starts in early May). I may be wrong though.

It drops tomorrow (I'm in the US). I'll start binge-watching on Thursday as DH is going to be out of town for five days so I'll be able to watch uninterrupted. Yay!

You know, as much as I enjoyed Season 1, I haven't been able to bring myself to re-watch it. It was so good and enthralling, yet so dark and (given our current political climate) so frightening.

Will also be on the RTE Player, although I dont know if that will work in the UK and it's a bit unwieldy anyway.

When will tv companies learn that they are basically asking us to pirate stuff when they don't show popular US shows straight away?

I am really looking forward to this. I would be interested in them exploring the Aunts more too - I have written about this aspect of the book so I am a little invested.

Actually 'looking forward' seems wrong when I found the first season so emotionally harrowing, but I am - it was so well done.

Argh! There’s a thing in the Guardian that says that the show will be on Channel 4 “later this year”. I know that, technically, in two day’s time is later this year but this opens the possibility that it won’t be shown for a while.

@squarecorners so I can say they forced me to find it online, as soon as I could and now I’m halfway through season 2, episode 1!!
